"We're going on a cruise for your birthday!" My mom said smiling brightly
My heart stopped and my body froze. The idea of being stuck on a boat in the middle if the ocean terrified me. I tried to speak but the words wouldn't come out. I sat there in silence. My parents must've thought I was surprised because they both hugged me and said they knew I was just excited.
"Guys..." I started to speak but my father interrupted me.
"Don't worry about it just start packing we leave in two days".
My parents smiled at me. My mother excused herself to finish cooking dinner. My dad turned on the TV and started watching ESPN. I got up off the couch and went upstairs to my room. I threw myself on the bed. I started to panic thinking about the cruise. I mean it would be fun to get out of town for my birthday but not on a huge boat over a large body of water. I began to think about pros and cons of going on the cruise. I gave up thinking about it and got up and went to my closet. I pulled out my suitcase and laid it on the floor. Even though the cons outweighed the pros I knew I had no choice. I was too afraid to tell my parents I don't know how'll they'll react. I've always been a good child I never wanted to disappoint my parents. So I finally went to my dresser and started packing. Two days should be enough time for me to clam my nerves down right?

Two days later I found myself at the docks getting into a large cruise ship. It was hard trying to conceal how scared I was. My body was shaking and my palms were sweaty as i tightly gripped my suitcase praying to God that I don't pass out. I took a deep breath to see if it would help at all and it didn't do anything. I followed my mom and dad up to the entrance of the ship and my father checked us in. The inside of the boat wasn't that bad it was kinda calming and very colorful. As I was deep in thought of the ships interior design my father handed me a room key and smiled.
"Why did you give the key to me?" I asked confused.
"You're old enough to have a room to yourself plus it's your birthday so go and have fun." He said with a smile. My mom was hugging dads arm and smiling warmly at me.
To be honest I didn't know how to feel I mean I was shocked and super thankful for them doing this but being by myself on a ship over water..? I hugged both of my parents and thanked them repeatedly. Then my parents walked me to my room. We said goodbye and told me they'll call me later. When I entered the room I was truly amazed I had a beautiful view as much as I hated the ocean it was truly perfect.
I let out a big sigh and threw my suitcase on the bed. I then quickly unzipped it and began unpacking my clothes I mean it was a seven day trip so why keep all my stuff in my suitcase it'll be a bother to constantly pull out my suitcase. As I finished putting away the last of my clothes into a dresser I began to feel slightly sick. My head then started to pound furiously and I fell to the floor with my head in my hands letting out a silent scream. It was the attacks. I used to get them all the time when I was young mostly when I'm around large bodies of water. They were excruciatingly painful there would be a sharp ringing noise and terribly headaches. I was trying to fight the attack but before I knew it everything went black.
