Child

Drip. Drip. Drip

The sound of blood hitting the sink, as your child is cutting up their neck.

You never notice because you're never home. You're either at work, or banging your husband's brother. No surprise really. You never even wanted your child. They were just the cum shot you never swallowed. You've told them this many times before. Going off at how terrible they are and how you can't stand them.

Now, take a look at that child.

What do you see?

Disappointment?

Ignorance?

Guilt?

Shame?

Disgust?

Well if these are the things you think of when you take a look at your child, truth is, all of that is towards yourself. All the guilt you feel for not being there, all the disappointment that builds up inside because you know you've fucked up, or all of the memories of your own ignorance, which lead to that child. That child never asked for this.

The child, the flesh and blood of two individuals who didn't stop and think about the situation at hand. The people that were too young to know the responsibilities of what this one child could have. The so called "parents" who weren't really parents, but only because there definition of parent was a person who wasn't even a person. But of a creature, to pure for the reality that lay before them.

Now, again.

Take a look at your child. The one at the sink, destroying the flesh of the two so called "parents", combined to create one perfect, beautiful, amazing being.

Now pull them to you, hold them close. Kiss the top of their head, tell them that you're there now. Tell them that they mean the world to you.

Now stop and think, about all the emotions coming out of those few sentences.

Did it feel nice?

Calming?

Relaxing?

To know that all the wrong and pain you felt and caused can finally be over?

To know that all the suffering you and that child felt can finally disappear as a memory of the past?

If so, you're doing something the right way. By being a parent. By being there for your child, even when they thought no one else would.

But don't forget this, it's hard being a parent, but sometimes its even harder being the child.

AN: Yes, this is very mature. Yes things like this actually happen. But I warned you. Well hope you enjoyed.
