Chapter 2 - Singing With Bangtan

Jungkook's P.O.V
"Could you teach me how to sing?" I stared at Aera baffled. She was smiling really cutely, and I couldn't help letting the corners of my mouth arch upwards slightly. I coughed, which got her attention. The guys were glaring at me intensely. I should say something.
"It's easy. Just sing whatever." I regretted the words as soon as they came out. V elbowed me harshly, making me glare at him in return.
Aera's face was now totally different. Her face had a cold aura, and her smile was now replaced with something more neutral. She looked disappointed and... Sad.
My heart clenched. I didn't like people getting sad because of me. I took a step forward, but then remembered that she couldn't see me. I cursed myself silently.
The room was quiet. Almost too quiet. I was about to say something, but Jimin got to it first.
"Don't worry about it. I'll teach you," he said, making her smile. I noticed that her smile was different now than when she asked me, but I can't put a finger on what.
"Thank you," she nodded thankfully. Jimin put on a grin which showed his achievement. I rolled my eyes.
"Should we practice here?" Jimin said, making Aera almost cough. Yes, I was staring. She just nodded as an answer.
Jimin walked over to where Aera was sitting. He grabbed a chair, and sat in front of her.
"Can you sing for me?" Jimin said in a nice tone. I noticed Aera was hesitating.
"It's okay, I'll sing something first, then you repeat. Okay?" Jimin was more kind now, when he was with girls than when he was with boys. When he was with us, he would just do whatever. Aera nodded.
Jimin started singing his part in 'Just One Day'. Aera braced herself before she sang. I gaped. She sang beautifully.
I felt a slight nudge at my side, and saw V glancing at me, mouthing 'Your staring too much'. I looked away, covering my head in my hands, not showing my blushing face.
When she stopped singing, all the boys started clapping enthusiastically, including me.
"Your awesome," Jimin said as he patted her shoulder. I clenched my fists for no particular reason. Aera just smiled shyly.
"I don't think you need any vocal lessons," Jimin said as he walked over to us. I was looking at Aera all the time.
Her facial expression dropped a little, and I glanced at Jimin. He just raised his shoulder, unaware of Aera's sudden drop in mood. I felt sorry for her, even though I didn't know what was bothering her.
"We need to leave now, sorry. It was nice meeting you, Aera," Rap Monster said as he gestured for us to bow in politeness even though she didn't see it.
We bowed, and stared to walk towards the door to leave. As I turned around the last time, I saw Aera's face. It was so sad. I stopped walking.
"Aera, you know you are always welcome to come visit us sometime," I said. Her head turned towards me in a big smile. She looked so sweet.
"I would love to," she said politely. I just smiled in return.
"Bye, Aera," I said as I noticed the guys was gone.
"Bye, Jungkook," she said, making my stomach jump in happiness.
