It was the first snowfall of the year the snow glistened as it fell, it was beautiful just like her. Where I live its cold all the time, you may as well call it winter wonder land considering it snows basically all the time.

I live in Barrow, Alaska and the last time I seen her was around about this time last year, I remember the exact date May fifth 1999. Her name was Aurora Blackwood and she was by far the fairest of them all, her hair was long and black and looked as though it could have been silk, her skin was light and pale with no sight of any imperfections, not one. Aurora was defiantly not tall she was quite short actually but I guess that was good for me cause she was easy to cuddle. The last time I seen her was on our street, She told me that she wanted to go exploring so she did. She went to a creek not far from where she lived I can't remember the name of it though. Anyway I guess she was climbing on a hill a bit higher up and seen a bear so I'm assuming she started running and fell, I think she fell about five or six meters and kept tumbling down. By the time she came to a stop she was gone they told me, she hit her head numerous times and was covered in wounds and scratches where he skin was uncovered and where braches had cut open her jacket. Her smile was one of a kind when she walked into a room it just felt like she made it light up. Aurora had this weird kind of laugh where you'd just start laughing because it was so contagious. She had big blue eyes that occasionally changed from lighter to darker depending on how she was feeling. Her voice was soft and sweet and she never yelled nor would he raise her voice. Aurora was always quiet and shy. She had this nature to always be kind to others no matter what and she lived her life to the fullest every day and that was one of the things I loved most about her. The first time Aurora and I met was at the lolly shop I was short on cash for a fairy floss and she was standing behind me, she tapped on my shoulder and she said,

"How much more do you need"?

After that she met me outside and she told me her name and I told her mine, we went from acquaintances to best friends in a short period of time and then progressed into something more. I miss everything about her even the way she said my name, Ethan.

Ever since Aurora died I have come to her grave every single day no matter what I was doing that day and each day I lay a flour on her grave and tidy it up a bit. After she died there was never a day where we didn't have snowfall, it went on for months until one day it suddenly stopped and no one knew why. And today was the first day it had snowed since then.

A tear ran down my face as I walked away from her grave. It started with a snow flake and it ended with a snowflake.
