Alexa POV

"Bye Mom!" I yelled. Hopefully she would get the hint that I was leaving.

I slammed the door. Parents can be soo annoying. Moments earlier, my mom screamed at me to clean my room and take out the trash. Yeah right. I told her I would be going out with my friends and shopping around. It's Saturday, which is a free day, and it's hard to keep your reputation amongst the school if you just hang around, doing nothing. Of course, I'm never one of those people. You should take notes.

I called by friends who were already at the hideout, which is a tree in Gianna's backyard.

I walked ran to the Hole, our name for the hideout. It was only a block away. Take note on this, no popular person EVER runs. At all. Even at gym.

"Where were you?" Gianna asked politely. She was one of the nice ones.

"Sorry I was planning the competition with Abby. You know, the one for the unpopular crowd that we have every year?" stated Jennifer, one of the most stuck-up people I know, who had also just shown up.

"Anyone care to fill me in on what happening?" I said. I was new to the crowd this year.

"Oh, it's just a silly little thing we do to test who the ugliest girl in the school is," Jennifer said, laughing.

I gasped. "Isn't that a little harsh?" I asked. "I mean, telling someone that they're the most ugliest girl in the school?"

"Maybe a little.. Oh well," Jennifer flipped her hair. She checked her watch. "Omg! Look at the time! I gotta go! Make sure to be there at my place in exactly 45 minutes." She turned to me. "And since you're new this year, I'll let you choose who the ugliest girl is." She left.

Gianna turned to me. "It is pretty harsh. But there's nothing we can do." Her face brightened up. "Wait a second... I think I have a plan to get back at Jenn.. But you have to help me."

Sandra POV

I woke up from a relaxing, deep sleep. I sighed as I remembered that today was going to be a big day. I pushed the thought out of my head and got up. Today was going to be the worst day of my life. Today the popular girls were gonna have a little contest to see who is the ugliest girl in the school. Unfortunately, I was one of the contestants. I was responsible for showing up at Jennifer's house, in the ugliest clothes I could find. It was a stupid rule. Like seriously, what the heck?

I stood up and walked to the other side of the room. I observed myself. Was I really that ugly? Or was it because I was unpopular and smart? Or was it my last name? Was Meow really that bad? My phone ringing inturupted my thoughts. I picked it up. I winced when I saw who it was.

"H-hello?" I stammered a little bit.

"Meow. Hurry up. You're late. We're waiting for you. You have exactly ten minutes, and counting, to show up. Hurry. Tick, tock. Tick, tock. Tick, tock." I pressed the end button. Jennifer could be scary. But I still only had ten minutes.

I dashed into my closet, and found a brand new dress I had just bought. It was a light coral dress with one strap. The dress went down to my knees, and it had a belt-like thing in the middle. The bottom had just a tiny bit of ruffles.

I slipped on some sandals with shiny, metallic leapord print strap and a tribal print thing in the middles. I piled on a few necklaces. Then I put on diamond earrings. I checked myself out in the mirror. Yes, I looked good. Time for hair and makeup! My mind screamed. I straightened my hair and put on just a little makeup. Wow, I looked beautiful. I grabbed a designer purse and stepped out of my room.
