"M/N look, I triple checked my work and still have no idea how I got the problem wrong! I swear, Mrs. Choo hates my soul." Jinyoung whispered yelled as the two of them were currently in the library reviewing their math tests and doing an essay that was due in 10 minutes.
Jinyoung handed his best friend his paper as M/N slid his laptop to Jinyoung. Paying very close attention to how the problem was solved, the other couldn't help but let out a laugh at how silly his best friend is.
"Hyung, you forgot to add your negative sign." M/N whispered as he chuckled watching his best friend throw a silent fit before standing up from the seat.
"I'm going to go retake the test, I'll see you at lunch."
--------
"Wait, you got his number already?" Jungkook blurted out as the group of 7 boys were on their way to the cafeteria since they didn't have any classes after lunch, they were planning on just hanging there afterward.
Namjoon nodded his head while taking out the piece of paper that held M/N's number with a smiley face at the end. Jin had told them everything that happened at the dorm when he was there, causing the younger boys wanting to know more about him.
"I've always noticed that M/N only hangs out with the study body president and no one else," Jimin said as Jin nodded his head.
"Then he's a loner with only one friend." Taehyung said as the boys nodded their heads agreeing with the boy's statement until they saw M/N walking in with someone that was definitely not the student body president.
"Or maybe not?"
-------
"Okay Tuan, what do you need?" M/N asked while sighing before seeing the taller give him a smile while patting his head.
"Jinyoung's number." The other simply said, causing M/N to raise an eyebrow out of curiosity and suspicion on why he would want his best friend's number.
"Why?"
"He's cute." Mark quickly replied as M/N ran a hand through his hair before checking the time to see if Jinyoung would be almost done.
"Well lucky for you, Jinyoung should be here any minute now." M/N said as Mark's face fell before slowly standing up and running away.
M/N couldn't help but sigh out of frustration seeing Jinyoung's longtime crush run away like that. Both of them were way too scared to actually make a move on each other, which caused him to be the messenger boy along with a counselor on how they can talk to one another.
"Hey M/N, I made sure to check my work 5 times this time." Jinyoung said as the younger laughed at how serious a negative number could change how many times he checks his work.
"Mark was here." M/N said as he saw Jinyoung smile before frowning.
"I should've been here." The older whined as M/N nodded his head with a laugh following up on it.
"He asked for your number and I told him that you were going to be here soon, but he ran away before I could tell him a plan." M/N said as he frowned at how unsuccessful he was in helping his best friend getting his crush's number.
"Maybe we're not meant to be then."
"Ani, I have been shipping you guys together since 9th grade. I am not letting this go."
Jinyoung couldn't help but laugh at his best friend before noticing that a certain group of boys were also in the room. M/N, being too caught up on why he ships Mark and Jinyoung together, didn't even notice that his friend passed him a note.
"M/n someone just gave you a note." Jinyoung said as he watched the other sigh and slowly open the note before crumbling the piece of paper and abruptly leaving the lunch room.
------------
"Wow, I wonder what that note said." Hoseok commented as I nodded my head, biting the sandwich that Jin had brought for me.
"Tch. Hyung, when are you ever going to make your own sandwich?"
"When you stop spamming IU's Instagram."
