Forgive and forget.Forgive and forget.Forgive and forget. Forgive and forget...

I stare at the message for what seemed like forever. Pondering on whether or not I should reply to it, I wanted to but I grew a slight apprehension that a nice cozy conversation wouldn't be its aftermath.

Even after a long period of time, the feeling of consternation still settles in my veins. I don't know whether I should feel like a raging ram at him or at myself. The stupidity marked in my actions pounds in my head. Making me almost regret being friends with him. Almost.

If I look at the much more optimistic point of view, he taught me a lesson. Not wanting to be repetitive of things, I still hopelessly cling to the fact he isn't the first prosperous man who broke my mess of a heart. Which proves to me that mistakes are indeed irredeemable.

What do you do to the people your angry at?

Ignore them.

But what will you do if your angry at one person you can't ignore?

Let hell break loose.

It isn't exactly a piece of cake to do that. Conscience sucks to be honest. I could even say its much worse than karma. Although, nothing can actually beat karma if we all look at everything its done.

I sighed to myself, maybe I'll just reply to it later. Dealing with someone who broke you would be the last thing in my to-do list. Tucking myself back to the bed, I stole another glance at my phone.

Baby steps. Just take baby steps Lily.

An unnerving gush of air blew through the house

An unnerving gush of air blew through the house. The lights coruscating in a slow rhythm. Each time it did, a slight crevice sound echoed in every corner. I breathe,  my breathing getting hoarse as the seconds grew. The trees outside resembled shadows. A street of emptiness and silence. Rows of houses stood on both sides, blocking the light of the solemn moon.
