Kyle was the only person in the other pack that knew what happened to my mom. It happens when I was 10. I'm now 17 almost 18. Nobody knew what happened besides me, my dad, the Alpha of the Midnight pack, Kyle, and Alysha!
The most people know is that she's dead. Everyone thinks she was killed by rouges.
The bell rang breaking me out of my thoughts. I sighed getting up and walking out of the class heading towards the cafeteria for lunch. I wasn't all that hungry so I just went and sat at my usual table and waited for Alysha.
Alysha sat down at our table.
"Hey." I said sadly. I'm really pisses off at Kyle.
"Hey boo what's up? You seem pissed off." Alysha stated, while eating her lunch.
"I am." I stated while putting my head down on the table.
"What happened?" Alysha asked concerned laced in her voice.
"Kyle, told that knew kid about my mom." I stated.
"Oh shit." Alysha said looking at something behind me. I looked back to see Kyle and my mate walking over here.
"What?" I asked her looking back.
"He's so hott!" I Alysha whisper yelled. I growled at her comment. "Woah Kens what was that for?" Alysha asked.
"Mine!" I said looking at my mate.
"Ohhh, Kensi why didn't you tell me he was your mate?" Alysha said as if she was reading my mind.
"I was about to when I looked and seen them walking over here." I said and before I knew it they were sitting at our table. I glared at Kyle.
"Kyle, can I talk to you for a minute? Alone." I asked. Kyle was one of my best guy friends, sure he was in a different pack but that didn't bother me. I knew my dad hated him though.
"Sure." Kyle said unsure of what he should do.
I walked out the cafeteria motioning for him to follow.
"Kyle what the hell!" I yelled as soon as we were in the hallway.
"What?" he asked confused.
"You told him about my mom!" I yelled pissed off.
"Sorry but he should know, I had to tell him! He is my fucking alpha Kensi! He asked me, what the fuck was I supposed to do?!" Kyle yelled back.
"I don't know lie!" I said.
"Well he is also your mate!" Kyle yelled
"Yeah so! I don't want a mate!" I yelled back.
JADENS POV
I was curious as to what my mate wanted to talk to Kyle about. I was about to walk out the door but stopped when I heard Kyle yelling.
"Well he's your mate!" Kyle yelled.
"Yeah so! I don't want a mate!" I heard Kensi yell back. At that moment I just felt my heart break. I wanted nothing more than to just die at the moment. I walked outside and into the woods and shifted into my wolf. I needed to run.
I ran until I stopped at a clearing. I seen a Black wolf sitting by the edge of the creek just staring at her reflection. She looked sad. I went and sat next to her. She looked up at me and I met those familiar blue eyes. She looked at me surprised and then took off running in the other direction. But not as fast as me. I caught up with her in no time. I jumped on her taking her to the ground.
I went and shifted behind a tree. I put my clothes back on before walking back. She was still there waiting for me to come back.
"Shift" I demanded.
KENSI'S POV
After my conversation with Kyle, I decided I needed to go for a run. I needed to think. I didn't mean it when I said I didn't want a mate. I did I'm just scared I lose him like I lost my mom.
I walked into the woods stopping behind a tree and took my clothes off and shifted. I ran through the woods to my favorite spot. I sat there starring at my reflection in the creek. Thinking about how much I missed my mom. I was sad that she had left me. I need my mom! I was brought out of my thoughts when I large white wolf sat next to me. I looked up and met those baby blue eyes of my mate. Shocked. I ran away in the opposite direction. He looked stunned. I was running through the trees only to be tackled into the dirt what an asshole.
I felt him get off me. I thought about running again. But would just come after me again. So I just laid there and waited for him to come back.
I looked up when I heard him walk back. He had shifted back and got dressed. He looked hott! He didn't have a shirt on. All I could think about was his abs. I just wanted to lick them. Wait what the fuck am I saying! I'm so perverted.
"Shift" I heard my mate say. I was going to refuse but I just walked behind the tree that I hid extra clothes in and shifted back and got dressed. I walked back out from behind the tree and his eyes locked with mine.
I could get lost in his eyes forever. I felt like he could see me soul. I was watching him as he walked closer to me. He was standing so close to me. I had to look up at him because I'm so short. I'm only 5'1.
"Hi." I spoke a little shy, trying to hide behind my hair.
"You're beautiful. Don't hide from me." my mate said. I have yet to know his name"
"What's your name?" I asked him.
"Jaden Iverson Alpha of the Midnight pack" he said with confidence.
"Oh." was all I said. I couldn't help but be shy around him. Usually I'm a smart ass with people.
"Why don't you want me?" He asked sadness laced in his voice.
"I- I don't know, I'm scared I'll lose you like I lost my mom." I stated looking at my feet ashamed of myself.
"You're never going to lose me baby. I'll make sure of that. you're my mate I love you already." Jaden said lifting my head up to look in my eyes. He was telling the truth.
"Really?" I asked him. I knew he could see that I was happy he just smiled at me. oh my gawd that smile is to die for!
"Yes really." He said.
"I- I can't be with you." I stuttered losing all happiness within me. His pack killed my mom. My father would never approve even if he was my mate.
"Please don't do this!" he yelled sadness clear in his voice.
"I Kensi Alison Wilson, reject you Jaden Iverson-" I was cut off by Jaden Kissing me. I was shocked but kissed him back. I leaned into the kiss wanting more. I wrapped my arms around his neck pulling his hair in my hands. He bit my bottom lip making me moan, giving him access to my mouth. I didn't deny it.
He pulled away and started kissing down my jaw, down to my where my neck and shoulder met. Jaden started licking between my neck and shoulder making me moan in pleasure. I didn't want to stop him it felt so good. I didn't realize that he had sunk his canines into my neck. I moaned in pleasure. Until I realized what he had done. I pulled away pissed off. That asshole marked me!
"Sorry Kensi I had to, I couldn't let you reject me." Jaden said his eyes filled with tears.
"Asshole! I don't want a mate!" I yelled at him walking away.
"Kensi wait! please!" Jaden yelled running after me
Pissed off I got in my truck and started to drive home ignoring Jadens shouts for me to come back.
My eyes filled with tears. I just let them fall as my vision blurred. I pulled over listening to "If I Run" by Sara Evans playing on the radio making my cry harder as my mind went to Jaden.
Once I was done crying I drove the rest of the way home. Once I got home I jumped in the shower. When I was done I went and laid in bed and started crying again. I fell asleep to my dad whispering to me that everything was going to be okay.
