A peek in the past and an uncovered future

He told me that we should be friends for now.I was in shock but still it was a relief.I felt like that was the best thing a guy could say to me.

I think by that I realized what I needed. I need a man. One that could keep me grounded.I mean sometimes it's just that I don't know what I want but I'm looking forward to this friendship.

I came back home and counted it all to Leslie. She was confused but still she understood. I'm just going to sleep now and we'll see what tomorrow brings.

Today was an pretty exciting day.Austin texted me and asked if we could meet in the campus park. I answered yes and texted back the time.

Later Today, I went for a chill and cozy outfit with fall colors. It was a bit chilly outside so I paired it with a bomber jacket. On the way,I was listening to 'Stay High' by Jonathan Mcreynolds which always boost my spirit. Arriving at the park I saw him on a bench with 2 coffee cup. I just salut him and sat.

He handed me one of the coffee and I smoothly mentioned that I was more of a tea girl. But I took it anyway.

"So what was in your mind when you asked me to meet you here?"

"I was considering us talking more about ourselves as the coffee thing you just mentioned"

"Yes I'm more of a tea person. Like I love any kind of scented tea no sugar added. What about you,are you more of a coffee person?"

"Yes I'm not awake if I haven't had my cup of coffee. I love Starbucks"

"Is it weird if I say that I've only had Starbucks once?" He had a shocking face on.

"Verily yes it is, how's that possible?" I had a questioning face on and I had to ask...

"Why did you want us to be just friends?"

"... I mean it's just that I want to glorify God in my relationships and I feel like I have to change and take things smoothly and seriously.." I nodded in agreement.

"I need things to go differently this time around. I like you but want to take things seriously and value you. So I felt like it should start by us being just friends to really know each other"

"It's fair enough. I mean I was a bit in shock but I see where you're coming from. I'll just say that I agree, we should value relationships and I feel like ours is on a good start. Thank you for being honest tho."

"I'm happy that it makes sense.I was a bit nervous."

"No it's okay... Humm it's getting chillier here. Do you want do you grab a snack somewhere?"

"Absolutely yes what about Starbucks?" We laughed and headed to the nearest one.

We chatted and called it a night.I went home and studied History of medias. It's actually an interesting subject but you easily fall asleep which I did in the middle of my study session.

But now I'm just here at 1AM ending this diary page I started writing yesterday.
