Quote; "I cannot name this, I cannot explain this,  and I really don't want to so just call me shameless." - Ani DiFranco.

A few days ago, I was advised by my friend to wear dark colour jeans,  on asking the reason, she said dark colour would make my thighs look thin.

I wonder, what makes someone think that I would not be happy in my body?
I love my body, I love everything about me,  each and every inch and I am pround of it,  I would like my body to appear the way it is and I am not okay in hiding behind dark colours or in that matter anything.

I am here not only talking about body shaming but about all the unnessary restrictions society has imposed, the differenciation created between boys and girls, it's dangerous.

I don't understand why people want me to behave in a particular way, why should I be shy? Just because I am a girl?, why should I sit in a proper way, talk politely, walk elegantly, why?
I have so many questions and the the answer to all is one,
Be shameless.

I am tired of all the restrictions or  the norms, I want to stop following them and after I stop I know there would be people accusing me, calling me names, I am sure of hearing "look she's become a rebel" or "she has no respect for society" and what not, but I also know if I have the bone of breaking norms, somewhere I also have the strength of fighting these people, if rebel is what they call it, then yes, I am a REBEL.

Shameless, this doesn't necessarily mean beings shameless againat body shaming or the rules, it means following your heart, it means not shying away from your choices, it means standing on your ground, it means respecting yourself.

Wish 7 - I wish to be shameless.
