"First, Normani and Ally made this gigantic banner to ask you to go to prom with me, but long story short, it got ruined in the rain," Dinah said, causing her date to crack up, "Then, Normani and I were going to do a science experiment, but it exploded all over her dad's garage."

Camila threw her head back laughing, then placed a hand over Dinah's, "I didn't know how much trouble you went through just to ask me to prom."

"I wanted it to be special," Dinah shrugged, "I guess asking you flat out wasn't as romantic as the other things, but I'm just glad you're here with me now."

The blue and green lights from the dance floor swept over Camila's face, "I wouldn't have it any other way."

Camila looked at someone behind Dinah, then said, "I think your friends want you to go dance with them."

Dinah turned around, watching Normani wave her over. Ally and Troy were dancing manically, Lauren and her date Lucy were slowly grinding against each other, and Arin had his hands on the hips of Normani's white gown.

Dinah offered her hand out to Camila, "I'm only going if you come with me."

"I can't dance," Camila responded, a frown on her lips.

"Then I'll show you, come on," Dinah said, pulling her date out of her chair.

Camila's smaller hand fit nicely in Dinah's, and Dinah couldn't help but admire how beautiful the girl made the night seem. Even though they'd spent quite some time talking over the loud music and raiding the refreshments table, Dinah couldn't imagine a better Junior prom.

The couple joined Dinah's friends, who all greeted Camila with goofy smiles and sparkly eyes. Camila bashfully waved to them, still gripping Dinah's hand like she never wanted to let go.

Dinah turned to her date, unable to stop grinning as she said, "May I have this dance?"

"Of course," Camila responded, placing her hands on top of Dinah's shoulders as Dinah pulled the girl's waist in closer.

They swayed together to the music, Dinah admiring how lovely Camila's brown eyes were in the dance floor light. Dinah could tell Camila was nervous by the way her eyes kept flitting off to the side, her cheeks rising with a subtle flush. Dinah's heart was full of delight knowing that she had such an effect on the older girl.

The Ed Sheeran song crooned in the background, and Dinah twirled Camila around. Camila's long hair swept across the back of her black gown as she turned to face Dinah once again, her lips parted slightly. Without thinking, Dinah erased the space between them, planting a soft kiss on the other girl's mouth.

"Was that okay?" Dinah asked nervously, hoping she wasn't being too forward.

Camila leaned toward Dinah, whispering, "It was perfect."
