To so many people the future sounded so appealing and beautiful. Everyone assumed technology will advance continuously throughout the years ahead. How terribly wrong those naïve people had been. The technology crashed, and the systems stopped working correctly. We don't fly hovercrafts, nor do we have holograms. Instead, we have ruins. The only thing that keeps the world running are useless generators that only the government can control. People only have so much power they can use a day, and when it was used up, the power is taken from you. Anyone who was caught stealing power from others would be sent to jail immediately. Unfair as it may sound, this was the life that no one considered when they dreamt of the future. I guess I could say I am not fond of the outcome, but it is better than what could have happened. The whole world could have become a flaming ball of fury, and people would still complain about the reduction of technology. Simpletons.

I presume the world could have been better as well, but I am not going to complain. We at least have internet, but the connection is slow, and it would run up the bill tremendously. We rarely used it for the sake of money.

No one could understand how we could have had it compared to the countries across the world. They didn't have anything, at all, from what my mom tells me. She is one of the few people specialized enough to hold a cellular device that can keep in touch with the people in countries over. I believe it is wrong that only a small amount of people are qualified enough to have in possession a phone. But I won't say anything, because if I do I won't say another word. People here are quite cruel, might I say.

But that is how the world is like in 2934.
