When Melody got her powers, her whole family celebrated it. It wasn't long before she got signed up to the special force to train young heroes. Melody knew that some of her friends would be there, followed by.... the most irritating boy in the neighborhood. Akiro thought that he was the strongest and all that. He was obviously going to get signed into the program.
The day finally came, Melody was headed to the program that lasted for 3 months. She said her goodbyes to her family and headed to the meeting place. She was on her way when suddenly Akiro ran past her, knocking her bag to the ground.
"Ugh! Watch where you are going idiot!" Melody quickly picked up her things and started running.
"I am not the idiot here! You weren't paying attention and dropped your bag" Akiro just kept running.
Eventually, they both got there. There were a lot of other kids waiting for it to start. A few minutes later, ten adults finally got there and started telling the students what was going to happen. Basically, all they said was that airplanes were going to land to pick them up and take them to their "school" for the next 3 months. Melody was struggling to get through the crowd to try and get a look at the teachers. She eventually got there to see them.
One of them was a pale, tall woman with dark purple hair at the top, but then faded to black towards the bottom. She was wearing a dark brown cloak.
Another one was a lady with orange hair covering her eyes. She wasn't tall or short.. She was just normal. There wasn't much to say about her. She looked very happy to be there though.
The last one Melody could see was a tall, brown haired young man who was wearing glasses. The bangs from his hair covered most of his glasses. He was wearing an alien sweater that said "strange" on it. He looked like he was the youngest.
It wasn't long before the airplanes got there. The students got split into two groups and each group went to their assigned airplane. Eventually they got to the school. The moving in was a blur, but after all that.. The classes started and the kids learned everything they needed to know. They learned how to fight, how to cast quick spells, and all that.
The three months went by quickly. The students were heading back home. Melody was sitting in an airplane with the kids that lived in her neighborhood. She just leaned back in her chair and started going over all the stuff that happened during the 3 months. She learned how to fly spaceships, use her barrier/crystal magic. And.. Oh yeah.. she also had to deal with the crap Akiro put her through. Its all good though, she got him back for it. They both kept getting in trouble for going back and forth fighting each other.
All the kids finally got to their neighborhood. Melody ran to her house and quickly opened the door. The pictures of her mother, aunts and grandparents were gone. She looked around and only saw her father waiting for her with a welcome back cake on the dining table.
"Where is mom?" Melody asked, kind of heartbroken because she wasn't there for her.
"She decided to take a break and move for a bit.." Her father said, he was still smiling.. Trying to be positive.
"Oh.." Melody ran and hugged her dad. "Its alright i guess.. At least you didn't leave me"
Melody's dad hugged her back. "We should go out to eat then, how about that arcade that sells food and tokens to play there?"
"Sure!" Melody let go of her dad. "Lets go then" She got her coat and went outside.
They got to the arcade/fast food place. Melody's father went to order the food while Melody sat at one of the tables. She looked around and saw a familiar man that looked to be about 50 years old. She suddenly remembered him, it was one of the retired heroes that was once a well-known one. She got up and ran over to him. To her surprise, Akiro ran up to him too. The old man looked at them both. "I am guessing you remember when I was a hero?"
"Yeah! You were the coolest hero!" Akiro was actually smiling this time.. How nice.
The old man laughed, then started running out the door. Akiro and Melody followed him. They ran up to where the snow was. The old man was waiting for them there. He was in a fighting position.
"Being a hero was just my cover. Now i can actually do what I enjoy" He threw a spell at them.
Melody made a barrier to protect both of them. Akiro looked over at her. He didn't say anything and just rushed at the old man. Melody ran after him. They were both ready to fight. They were both using a familiar fighting style. It wasn't long before they noticed. Melody was using one of Akiro's fighting techniques, and Akiro used one of Melody's.
They got distracted, so the old man hit them with a spell that teleported them up into the mountains of another place.
Akiro got up. "Where are we?" He looked around, but did not recognize the area.
Melody got up too. "That damn old man" She tried getting the snow off her clothes.
Akiro sighed. "We need to find a way back home"
"Yeah" Melody crossed her arms.
A week had passed. Melody and Akiro had found a camp and stayed there for 2 days before continuing to find their home. That week had been the only week where Akiro and Melody could get along and talk to each other without starting a huge fight.
They had been walking for the whole day. It was night time now, so they settled in a small area where they could sleep.
Melody woke up in the middle of the night and over heard Akiro talking to himself and walking around.
"Why do I even get these weird thoughts? I don't like Melody.. Do I? I am so confused I just.. UGH" Akiro punched a tree and turned the trunk into ice.
Melody turned bright red when she heard what Akiro said.
A/N: OK I JUST WANT TO SAY, This is based off a dream I had last night. Honestly it is one of the most interesting dreams I have had in a while. I am going to go now.. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME. Also I am sorry that it is so long.
