Chapter 2: A Helping Hand

Your P.O.V ☁️

*SKRRT SKRRT*
Your skateboard goes. You see the skatepark just ahead and you skate a little faster feeling patient, but anxious.

You arrive at the skatepark and you hear Eminem blasting, boys chatting, and the wheels of skateboards sliding across the concrete.

"Smells like B.O......great." you say sarcastically.

You shrug, jump on your skateboard and start riding. All of a sudden, you crash into a muscular figure, and fall on the bruise that your dad gave you recently.

"OW, FUCK." you yell while sitting up.

You look up and standing there is a tall man, staring at you with icy blue eyes and his eyebrows slightly furrowed.

"Watch where you're going, you little bitch." he says harshly. He walks off laughing and fits bump his friend.
"Dickhead." you murmur to yourself.
You brush off the dirt that got onto your elbows and knees.

As you brush off the last pieces of dirt, you see someone standing in front of you with the same exact shoes as you.

"Hey, need a hand?" a manly voice says kindly

You look up and see a tall muscular figure, more muscular than the one before. The first thing you noticed about him is his smile. Somehow it made you smile like an idiot, but you didn't realize it. Your eyes were drawn into his mysterious hazel eyes. The tip of his hair was perfectly wavy, and out of his face. The small little details made your stomach flip, the tiny freckles on his nose that weren't very noticeable, the way his dimple was curved when he smiled, the mole on his chin. HIS JAWLINE, LIKE WHAT?! HIS JAWLINE IS MORE STRUCTURED THAN MY LIFE!

After looking at his jawline you also noticed he had a scar next to the mole on his chin.

"He has a scar too, wonder what that's from." you say in your head.

*cough cough*
"Hello? Anyone in there?" As he waves his hand in front of your face.
"OH, hi..uh yes. I'm here" you say quickly.
"You were staring at my face for a long time." he said while grinning. "Oh no, is there something on my face?" he says looking worried.
"What? No! I was uhhh, there is nothing on your face. I was just looking at your.....uhhh smile." you say stuttering.
"Oh." he said why laughing. "So uhh, need a hand?"
"Oh! Sure, thanks!" you say surprisingly.

You grab his hand and he lifts you up. He smiles at you again, and then looks down at your bruises. His smile fades away.

"Hey, you okay?" he says while pointing at your bruises.
"Oh, yeah. I'm fine." you say while laughing nervously.
"Let me get you an ice pack." he says and runs to his backpack. He runs back with the ice pack in his hand.
"Why don't you sit on the bench." he says kindly while holding your back to make sure you don't collapse when walking.

You sit down and he crouches in front of you putting the ice pack on your bruise.

"Ow." you say all of a sudden and accidentally put your hand on top of his. He smiles at you, you look at him and realize your hand was on his.
"Oh sorry." you say embarrassingly while taking your hand off quickly.
"It's okay." He says while chuckling.
"I'm Grayson by the way, Grayson Dolan."

You smile at him.

"I'm Ella, Ella Anderson." you say in a quiet, but calming tone.
"Nice name." he says while making eye contact with you.
"Thanks, same for you." you say still smiling.

There was awkward silence for 2 minutes. You decided to break the awkward silence

"Thanks for the hand" you say while looking at your bruise.

Grayson stands up and sits next to you.

"No problem, that guy's an asshole anyways." he says while grinning.
"Yeah, no dur." you say while laughing.

He laughs too.

"Hey, do you have a phone?" Grayson says.
"Yup." you say while pulling it out of your pocket.
"Want my number?" he says.
"Sure" you say while smiling.

You two exchange numbers. You then look at the time.

"Shit, I should be going." you say disappointed.
"Again, thanks for the hand."
"Anytime." he says while smiling.

You stand up, say your goodbyes, and skate back home.
