15 years ago, I was brought into this world full of hypocrites, stereotypes and bullies. I was an only child, I was spoilt and everything was my way.
Until August 25th 2001, the day my sister was born. That's when my whole world changed, I was left out of everything, I felt lonely and unwanted. Even though I was only 2 and a half, I felt like my parents had something better than me. My sister.
They named her Alyssa, and treated her like she was very rare treasure, I thought that she was just another human being but to them; she was perfect. She had black hair, rosy pink cheeks, bright blue eyes and a gorgeous smile, my parents thought she was wonderful, yet did they know; Alyssa was different.
"Goochy goochy goo" old ladies would pinch her cheeks and say, "What a cute little girl" they would say next and smile. Meanwhile, I was the awkward 2 year old holding the side of the pushchair as we walked through the mall. I would be totally ignored due to the fact, my younger sister was a little princess. I guess I was jealous, and annoyed at this, my sister was perfect in every way to my parents, and I was just an accessory.
