Lexis POV

I sigh heavily in worry as I silently open the front door ....' creeeeeeeeek ' ! Oh god ..! There gonna know I'm back .....

By the way I'm lexi Leigh , a 19 year old girl with long light brown curly hair and dull blue eyes . I live with my parents , well adopted ones , have done since I was 7 , in Orlando .

It's owned ( and the rest of America and Europe )by the ruthless leader of the Latin kings , leonardo Jacobson . Rumour has it , that if you even look at him funny , he will kill you on the spot . To be honest I'm petrified of the thought of him !!

I hear a sudden storm of angry footsteps heading my way as I keep my head down and try to run up the stairs , I'm ragged down by my hair " and where have you been , slut !" She spat I didn't answer which led to her slapping me hard around the face . That's gonna leave a mark , I instently cup my cheek and say ...

" I I I. I've b-been at w-w-work " I shudder ." YOU ARE 3 minutes late !!" Ahhhhhh she punched me in my stomach repeatedly as I dropped to the floor wrapping my hands around my head protectively . She kicked me in the ribs and spat on my as she looked at me pleased with her work " I hope your happy skank ! Now I need to wash YOUR blood off my hands " she walked of as I ignore the intense pain all over my body I limp up the staircase hurriedly and walk into my bedroom ....

It had a creeky door , and in the Corner was a broken set of draws and a old tattered dog bed , which I slept in . I couldn't afford to buy myself anything  as I payed every wage I had to my parents , and they would NEVER buy me anything .

I love my job ! It's the place where I can escape my parents  and get some peace . They were my family at the cafe , they always looked after me as the owner Sarah and another worker Tiana knew about my parents and tryed to help of course I never let them , it would just make things worse .

I slumped down on my bed and curled up in a ball holding myself to keep warm in the cold autum air as my window was smashed in .

I close my eyes and let sleep overtake me as I dread for he morning to come ...

I rub my eyes trying to steady my feet on the ground . I put on my woolly jumper and black leggings , and last my converse which I took from the dump as I can't  afford to buy a different pair of shoes .

Putting my head down I walk towards the front door still hurting from yesterday night as I try to not wake my parents , it's currently 7:30 am as my shift starts at 8:00 I shiver to the rainfall cafe .

As I come in , I'm greeted by Sarah with a warm hug but I hiss as she wrapped her arms around my stomach " what's wrong hunny !?" She asks conserned when she de tangles her hands from my body ." I-its nothing " I reply .

She holds an angry face as she whips up my jumper and gasps seeIng all my cuts and bruises "Sarah !" I say pushing my jumper back down and covering my stomach

" I SWEAR TO GOT THE NEXT TIME I SEE THEM SICK PEOLPE IM GONNA- !!" I interrupted her rant " Sarah I'm fine and there's customers to be served "

She huffs and I follow her to the kitchen after taking there orders and putting on my uniform .

After a couple of hard hours of serving I serve the next people their food and revive a thank you as I smile and walk back over to Tiana ." So , like I said he was smokingggggg HOT and he kissed me sooo well ..." she blabbed on and on about this boy . Don't get me wrong , I love her but she can talk for ever and I'm too tierd to listen I I just tune out for the rest of it .

The bell rang signaling someone new had come in as I when out the front to take their orders , Sarah stopped me and told me to keep my head down and be very very polite .

I nodded and looked around to see the most feared gang leader and his close gangmembers with him , sat waiting to be served ........ I gulped and headed towards Them keeping my head down ...

HEY IM BACKKKKKKKKK SORRY THIS CHAPTER WAS A BIT SHORT BUT THEY WILL GET LONGER AND HOPEFULLY ULTERNATE VEIW POINTS AS THE NEXT CHAPTER WILL BE IN LEONARDOS POV .
