They all stared at the wreckage of their lifeboat. The lifeboat that had carried them to shore, after their luxury cruise had sunk. They were all strangers, and there were five of them. They stared at each other, unable to comprehend what to do now.

"That's great! Just great!" Complained Mike, the loud-mouthed of the bunch. "Now what are we gonna do?"

"Not complain, that's for certain!" Said Lucy, the strong-willed of the group.

"Not complain? We're stranded on an island, for Pete's sake! 'Unsinkable,' they said. Well guess what? It sunk!" Mike paced angrily.

"But...But it's not the Titanic's fault that she hit an iceberg!" Said Frankie, the shyest of the five, and the kindest. She nervously twirled a strand of blonde hair behind her ear. "It's the captain's' fault!"

"Well, it certainly wasn't my fault." Said Don, the most arrogant of them all. He flexed his biceps and kissed them. "Sorry, what were we talking about?"

"WAAAHHHH!" Cried Yulia, the illegal Russian immigrant who had been aboard the Titanic with her mother. Her mother had drowned, and two-year-old Yulia was left with four adult strangers, only one of them kind to her (Frankie). However, when no one was looking, Lucy gave kind smiles to Yulia. Half of the time, Yulia didn't even notice.

"SHUT UP, YOU STUPID CHILD!" Mike advanced upon her, which made Yulia cry even louder. He raised an arm, to hit her, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. He lowered his arm, his eyes turned softer, and he sighed in hopelessness.

"What are we going to do?" He said. His voice was not annoying, but soft, as he was scared. So was everyone else.

"We'll need to survive, obviously." Lucy's voice was quiet, but still strong. "Frankie can watch Yulia, while me and Mike can build a fort, and Don..." She hesitated.

"I can lift weights!" He kissed his arms again.

"NO, Don! Something useful! We don't even HAVE weights!"

"Fine. I'll go kill some animals." He sounded disappointed as he tromped off.

They got to work. The fort was done in a little over an hour, but would have been done quicker if Mike and Lucy had stopped bickering. Don got quite a feast out of a stag, and they ground up the meat for Yulia, so she could eat too. Frankie fed it to her.

Finally, it was time for bed. Yulia cried until about midnight, which is when Frankie was finally able to sooth her to sleep. Mike, crabby again, yelled at the "stupid baby" to shut up. Lucy yelled at Mike to shut up, and Don seemingly didn't care, and fell asleep quickly, his snores nearly drowning out Yulia's crying.
