It was in the middle of math class, and their teacher, Mr. Macintosh, was describing range.
"So if your X is 4 and your cost is $2 per hour then what is Y ?" Mr Mac asked.
Isabella raised her hand, "Your Y would be eight."
"That is correct, it would be eight," Mr. Mac said.
He then asked if everyone had got it, and they all said yes.
"Your homework is on page, 291," He said. "You have till they call walks and rides. You may begin."
Everyone started on their work, all but Bertholdt. He was stuck on what they were supposed to do.
Isabella giggled as she looked to her left. She found Bertholdt, sitting in his desk, and starring at his paper.
Isabella raised her hand, and asked if she could help him.
The teacher said yes, and Isabella got out of her set beside Ashley, and headed to where Bertholdt sat.
He looked up at her from his seat. Which didn't take much to do, sence he was so tall. Isabella leaned down a bit, and explained to him, how to do the assignment, slowly.
Just as Isabella had finished telling Bertholdt how to do it, the intercom sounded.
"Attention everyone. Just a reminder that there is, the upcoming snowball dance, after fall brake, on Friday, from 6:00 to 10:00. Boy's basketball tryouts start next Monday, after school. Walks and rides, report to the gate at this time. Walks and rides, report to the gate at this time. Thank you," the principal said.
All of the friends got up, gathered their stuff and left.
The guys, not far behind, asked them if the girls knew where they could stay.
"We all live out in the middle of nowhere, but there is one house close to ours. If you guys want to stay there. We can come over this weekend, and help you get set up," Isabella said.
"And if you need any clothes, or food, anything. I can ask my mom if she will take you to the store and bye you some," Mary said.
"And we will come, and help you," Ashley added.
The guys said thank you, and followed the girls to the gate. Where they would get picked up by Mary's mom.
They had to explain why six guys were coming home with them. Mary's mom was confused, but agreed. They headed to the house, and got ready for the long weekend ahead.
