chapter 9: friends ?

Draco's point of view:

I was sitting in front of the black lake crying myself out , when I felt someone is sitting next to me
I looked up and my eyes met hers
It was Granger , she looked at me and I then realised that I was crying .
Shit ! She is gonna see my tears . I quickly grabbed the end of my shirt and begin wiping away my tears . I didn't face her , I don't want anyone to see my pain "Malfoys don't cry" this sentence was always stuck with me during my childhood

"Malfoy" she said with a concern in her voice
I didn't respond back , I couldn't help it a tear came down my face
I felt her hands wiping it away
I didn't dare to look at her

I then felt her hands cupping my face
She turned my face around so I was now facing her
"What's wrong malfoy ?" Again I didn't answer . I felt pain in my heart, I wanted to tell her , to tell anyone
I wanted to take the pain away . But I know that I couldn't

I felt someones pulling me into a hug , I didn't know what to do at first but then I found myself hugging her back by putting my hands around her waist I let myself to cry into her chest

Minutes had passed and I still couldn't stop crying
Suddenly I felt someone bringing my head back up again wow that really made me shiver
But what happened next I hadn't expected
She crashed her lips into mine
I was surprised by this action
My formal enemy , know_it_all_girl 
And the one I bullied for so long
Is now kissing me

I couldn't help it and without thinking I kissed her back . But with much more Poisson like I had waited for this moment for so long
I hadn't known it before , but now Iam certain that I like HERMIONE GRANGER

we kissed for so long her lips were soft and that made me hungry for more . I placed her gently on the ground and begin to kiss her neck
Her hand were brushing my hair
When all of a suddend she pushed me off her and said " I...no...we...we can't...we can't do this " I saw a tear escape her eyes and she ran away back to hogwarts before I could stop her from leaving

I felt dissapiotment .
But then I thought " now I like her , but what will I do about it ? It's not like she is not with the weaslbee "

Hermione's pov: 

Days passed and I was ignoring malfoy
Malfoy wouldn't give up and had always tried to follow me , and I don't know why
I had owled Harry , Ginny and Ron telling them not worry about me and that Iam fine
I writed to them about how much I miss them and that I wasn't feeling lonely because luna had always accombanied me.
but the truth was that I didn't really spend much time with Luna,  and I was feeling very lonely but I'd always head to the library every night and most of the day in the common room reading too. Malfoy wouldn't show up to breakfast , lunch or even dinner
Sometimes I see Parkinson taking some apples with her and i'd assumed that it was for malfoy

Today is Saturday
We were free to go to hogsmead
But I didn't want to , it will be different without either Harry or Ron there
I ate breakfast at the great hall and decided to head to the library
I walked around the hallways until I reached the library and found a smirking  Draco Malfoy standing outside the library one hand on his hip and the other is resting on the wall
"What do you want Malfoy ?! Why don't you just leave me alone ?!" I asked while crossing my arms
"I want you " he answered simply while looking into my eyes and smirking the famous malfoy's smirk
"Oh , sorry about that but Iam not on sell , Malfoy" I said glaring at him
"Don't take it like that Granger" he said grapping my hands in his and squeezing it , I honestly don't know why I did not push his hands away But it made me feel some kind of safe "I wanna talk to you , I think I have the right to do that . Don't forget you are the one who kissed me and left without a word" he said and made an incconent look on his face

"What do you want to talk about Malfoy ?" I said sliding my hands away from his and not looking at him instead looking at the ground
"Why Granger ? Why have you kissed me ?" He asked with a concerned voice
"I honestly don't know " I answered sighing heavily
"You don't know?" He asked a little tense
"Yes I don't know " I answered confidently
"You don't have feelings for me , do you ?"
He asked while smirking
"Ugh how much I hate this smirk , but it's kinda cute , isn't it?" I thought

"Why would I ferret ?!" I asked crossing my arms again
"Don't call me that Granger , I have a name and by the way my name sounds better coming from you mouth " he said and winked at me

"And I did have a name too when you called me mudblood , Malfoy " I said raising an eyebrow
"Granger , I apologized,  didn't i ?"

"Yes , but it still hurts though " I said looking at the ground

"Look at me" he said and grabbed my chin up to face him again
"Iam sorry "

I looked at him with widen eyes and an open mouth for a minute but then I managed to force a small smile

"You've been already forgiven draco"
I said smiling widely now

"YOU CALLED ME DRACO ? " he yelled with a smile forming in his lips

"It is your name isn't it ?"
"And besides you have apologized, and I never thought you would " I said with a bright smile

I saw him sigh in relief and then offered me his hands to shake and said " friends ?"

I quickly shook it while smiling  "friends"

He smiled ," oh how I miss this smile he haven't smilled for along time " I thought

Then I saw a figure coming out of the library

"Iam sorry to interrupt,  but have you two seen Neville? " luna's voice made me realise that it was her

"Yes , actually he was in the common room when I last saw him " I said smiling

"Thanks Hermione " she said while waving a good bye and walked away

"Okay...um..good night then Gr.... Hermione " he corrected himself

"Good night ...um..d..draco" Actually it was hard for me to say his name but I think I will get used to it

I went to my dorm and slided down the sheets and that night I felt completely happy

Friends with malfoy ? Sounds interesting
