An unexpected visitor

Hello hello!!! Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I'm still not sure where I see the story going and I'm still in the creative process. Be sure to like and share and I'm always open to feedback!

Jamie heard the door close and sat still, listening to the approaching footsteps. As their volume increased, she heard the sliding door open next to her and looked up at the visitor. It was a girl. She had sleek jet-black hair and piercing green eyes that looked almost gray.

"Katy?" asked Jamie, "What are you doing up here?"

"I could ask you the same thing," responded Katy. "Why are you up here all alone?"

"I don't know, reasons," said Jamie as she looked out into the fading light.

"Care to explain?" asked Katy as she sat next to Jamie.

"I don't know," said Jamie, "I just feel empty inside. And I've felt this for a long time now."

Katy gave her a quizzical look. "Start at the beginning"

"Well, The summer before high school, I had my first boyfriend, Kevin. We dated for a couple months but I broke it off before school started. Then, most of freshman year, I dated Brian, the hottest guy in our grade. But, I just stopped having feelings for him and he sensed that I was distant. We eventually decided to break up." Jamie sighed as she finished.

"Wow," said Katy, "sounds like one hell of a year you had there."

"Yeah, I guess, "said Jamie. "Then, sophomore year, I began questioning my sexuality and started really liking this one girl, Makenzie. But, I was too scared to actually confront her with my feelings for her and she eventually started dating this freshman guy. Anyways, I spent the rest of sophomore year single with no one really catching my interest."

"That sounds really sad and lonely," said Katy.

"Don't worry, I think you'll like the rest of the story," said Jamie with a smile. "This year, I met this really nice girl and I'm really into her. I'm still getting to know her, but I think she might like me too."

"Oh?" asked Katy, "And who is this lucky lady, do I know her?"

"Actually," said Jamie, "You know her pretty well. She's in our grade, has an amazing body and beautiful black hair. Her voice is as smooth as glass and her eyes..." Jamie turned and looked right at Katy," are the deepest green you'll ever see.
