Lauren's POV

"Lauren!"

My name that's the last thing I heard before everything went black.

"Lauren, please wake up." I hear Archie say while sobbing

"Hey Arch, don't cry." I say

"YOU'RE AWAKE!" He yells

"Yes now please don't yell." I reply "What happened?"

"So remember how I needed to pay back Jason?"

I nodded.

"Well, he sent his goons to get the money out of me, that's when I told you not to come home. They are a bunch of wizards so they had a potion that made you knock out, and that potion usually kills wolfs but you're here so I guess it doesn't work."

"There's always a catch, just get to it." I say

"Okay...you're gonna be in wolf form for about a week." He says

"WHAT!" I yell

"Calm down." He says

"Fine. But what about school?" I ask

"I already told Simon (our principal/Archie's boss) that your sick with a fever which is accurate because wolf's body temperature is always hot so." He says

"True. I'll just hang out in the forest." I say

"Yea but no killing humans." He says with a serious face.

"That was ONE time!" I say annoyed

"Also your wolf side is gonna wanna mate with Natalie(Natalie is Lauren's mate) so don't give into it okay?" He says

"Yessir" I say

I smell our mate.

Archie said no

But he's not here is he?

No but.....wait what is Natalie doing here?

I start going towards Natalie. I howl when I see her.

"Woah what are you?" Samantha says scared

"Don't hurt us!" Natalie says

"Get away!" Alejandra says while smacking my head lightly

I wince in pain even though it was a light smack.

"Alejandra, you hurt it. I don't care if it's animal." Stephanie scolds Alejandra

"Sorry" Alejandra mumbles

My body starts hurting, that means I'm changing back into my human form.

"Woah!" Yells Stephanie

"What the fuck!" Yells Samantha

"What's happening ?!" Yells Natalie and Alejandra at the same time.

"Hi." I say shyly when it's over

"What the fuck?" They all say.

"Let me explain at least." I say

They tell me to go on.

"I'm half wolf and half human. Yes I was born like this,not bitten , and Yes the supernatural world exists." I say

"Are you like Jacob from Twilight?" Samantha asks

"Um kinda but kinda different. Wait you're not freaked out?" I question

They nod their heads no

"It's actually really cool, do you have super hearing?" Alejandra asks

"Yes I do and I can read minds except my mate." I state

"Who's your mate?" Natalie asks

You. I say in my mind.

"Um I really can't say. Oh and you can't say shit about this whole thing because if you do , very bad bad people will come after you." I say seriously

"Okay." Alejandra

"Yea okay." Samantha

"Sure." Natalie

"Okay definitely." Stephanie

Natalie's POV

"Hey Lauren wanna study after school?" Natalie asks

"Yea sure."

Can you hear me? I say in mind

"I need a ride can you take me?" She asks

Did she not hear me?

"Um Sure but I just said something in my mind, did you hear it?"

"Um Yea." She says nervously

"Then what did I say?"

"Ummmm......."
