(WANG DAO)

Having dinner together with our family being complete is a treat for me and Hua. Most of the time, Baba cannot join us for dinner because he keeps late hours on his work. But when he got an early off from his job as being a general, Baba will go straight home and have a meal with us.

Tonight is such a day. The four of us are having dinner together. The roasted duck is served because that is Baba's favorite, as well as the noodle soup with sweet pork dumplings. But Father still made sure that Hua and I are eating our vegetables so we also have stir fry vegetables and bean sprouts on the table.

"How is your day? The two of you?" Baba asked me and my twin while we are eating.

Hua and I look at each other. I smiled, "Wonderful, Baba." I said.

Father sighed, "Such a bald lie. What is wrong now?" He picked a part of the roasted duck and put it on Baba's plate.

"Nothing," my shoulder slumped. "Hua beat me in archery again."

Baba chuckled, "We all know that your sister is better in archery than you. She has better focus and concentration. You should have challenged her in swimming, you are faster than her."

"She beaten me in swimming too," I grumbled. Hua giggled.

Father was surprised, "I see." He and Baba look at each. "Maybe we should train again in focus and concentration," Baba said. "I am free the next weekend. We can train together."

"I will anticipate it," I agreed. "Baba..." I stopped and shook my head. "Never mind..."

"What is it? Tell me?" Baba encouraged me.

Hua and I look at each other again. I nodded. "Baba, can I stop going to the Lecture Halls and stay here with Hua and Father..."

"No," A hard glint entered my sire's eyes. Baba is not please. "You have to study with the other boys in the Lecture Halls, Dao. You know that..."

"I know but..." I want to defend myself.

"Wang Dao," my Baba gave me a warning look.

I look down on my plate. Father placed a sweet pork dumpling there for me. "Dao ah. I thought we had this talk..."

"I don't want to study there anymore. I don't like my lecturers. I don't like my lecture mates..."

"You snob them," Baba said. I look up in surprise. Even Father gasped, "Captain. Dao is not like that..."

"That's what the lecturers in the Lecture Halls told me." Baba said.

"You mean they reported to you?" I cannot believe it. Those lecturers are ratting me out to my sire.

"I asked, as it is my right to ask about your progress in the Lecture Halls. They said you are an excellent student except you lack focus and you snob everyone. Someone even told me that maybe it's because you know you are the son of General Wang that is why you don't want to include yourself with your lecture mates..."

"It's because they are stupid moronic..."

"Wang Dao," Father stopped me from saying more. "I warned you about saying those words when describing other people..."
