The World Duel Carnival #4 (Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal)

Chapter #1

It's the first day of The World Duel Carnival. We listen to Mr. Heartland explain the rules of The Carnival. Bronk and Flip take off after.

I'm about to leave when Yuma stops me.

"Hey, Evelyn."

I turn around and face him.

"Be careful out there."

I creak a smile. "You're the one who has to be careful."

I only say that because there's a guy with a soccer ball.

"Out of my way! Move people!"

I think that's my cue to leave.

I turn and walk away. I find the pockets of my sweater and find an elastic to put my hair up. I pull my hair back in a high pony tail. Then I put my hands back in my pockets.

This is going to be easy. I just wonder if I do, or don't want to duel against Kite. If I do, and lose, Astrid is gone. But if I win, he can't help his little brother.

I shake my head. I can't think about that now. I have to focus on the task at hand. Collecting five heart pieces.

I look around to see my competition. I see two guys talking to each other. Easy.

I walk up to them. "You two competing?" I ask and look between them.

"Yeah." Said the blonde guy with brown eyes who's wearing a dress shirt and nice pants.

"Which one of you wants to duel me first?"

I think first got them because they look at each other.

"Nevermind. You both can duel me at the same time." I turn and get ready by putting on my duel disk and my gazar appears on my eye.

They were a bit shaky getting getting ready. I think it took them 5 minutes for them both to get ready.

Once we start, it was a breeze. I went first so I could end it my next turn. And I did. I didn't even need Galaxy Eyes.

Only one of the heart pieces fit mine.

Oh well. I'll just have to keep dueling.
