"I DON'T WANT TO GO!" I shouted at Macy and made loud noises as I walked down the long staircase.
Well, you must be confused why I'm shouting at her. Let me explain, today is Ally's birthday. (She's one of Macy's close friends) And Ally is throwing a huge birthday bash tonight and she invited Macy. Ally told Macy she can invite anyone she wants, because she doesn't have enough guests. So, Macy asked me to come. I told Macy a big NO in her face, but she can't take a no.
"You must come! You haven't seen Ally's house. It is so amazing.." Macy said to me a little loudly with a dreamy face and sparkly eyes and I laughed. "Please? You HAVE to come. You just HAVE to."
"Arghh. I hate you so much Macy!" I said to her.
"I love you too! So, will you come? Please? You haven't been to any parties for so long. The last time you went was when Za- Oh, sorry." Macy said and looked at her feet. My heart literally melted at that moment. I don't like people talking about my past. I want to move on.
"Al-alright! I'll come..." I whispered the last part.
"Yay, yay! I love you so much! Now, we have to go shopping! This is going to be such a fun Saturday!" Macy said and pounced around like a happy puppy.
"Why?" I said and she stopped jumping around.
"Why? Because, you don't have an outfit Layla!" She said in a "duh" way.
"Macy, I have cute outfits if that's what you want. I have a cute, short denim cutoffs and a pretty white top to go with it." I told her.
"No! You need to wear a dress!" Macy pointed out. Ughh. I hate dresses.
"Fine. Just this once. This will be the LAST party I will ever go to!" I said and she nodded.
"THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!" She said in a cute, playful tone. "Now, let's go!"
"Wait! I need to get my stuff." I told her and she groaned.
"You better use some make-up! That grumpy face of yours is driving me crazy!" Macy yelled at me as I made my way upstairs.
"Okay, Mr.Grumpy!" I yelled at her.
I quickly ran to my room to grab my stuff; handbag, cash, phone, jacket and a pair of combat boots. Then I looked myself in the mirror. My shirt looked way too weird so I decided to change it. It was a black T with a really creepy smiley face. My mom got it for me on my 18th birthday. She loves it, but I hate it. She still thinks I'm a child! Well anyway, I changed into a loose, purple blouse along with my favorite black skinny jeans. I also put on a little eye-liner, black eye-shadow, some light foundation, a little lip-gloss and done! I looked myself in the mirror. I actually look pretty. It's been a long time since I've looked pretty... Then I heard Macy screaming my name.
"Damn you Macy!" I shouted at her from the top of my voice and she actually heard me. I hurried up and quickly tied a cute messy bun and I headed downstairs.
"What took you so long? W-wow. Layla, you look so pretty!" She said and smiled.
"I know." I replied and winked at her.
"At least now I won't have to deal with your grumpy face!" Macy said and I groaned at her. "So can we go now?"
"Yea-"
"Morning girls, where are you going today? To the park? For a picnic? No? Grocery shopping then? In that case, go buy some milk. I'm making your favorite mashed potatoes Macy, but unfortunately we're out of milk!" My mom said and shoved some bills in my hand.
"Oh, sorry Mrs.Carlson, but we're not going gro-"
"Mom! We're not kids anymore so you can stop treating us like that! We can take care of ourselves. Now if you excuse us, we have some shopping to do." I shouted and she looked at me like I was in deep shit. "Sorry mom." I whispered and she nodded.
"Well, where are you ladies going today?" My mom asked while setting some tea cups on the dining table.
"We are, um, gonna buy some dresses for a friend's birthday party at the mall." Macy said nervously. I don't know why.
"Well, I guess that's okay. You look very pretty Macy." She said and smiled.
"Thank you! So do you!" Macy said. Yeah, my mom is beautiful. She's probably the most beautiful person I have ever met. I guess I got all the looks from her. She has natural curly, black hair and beautiful green eyes that sparkled every time she looked at you.
"Are you going Layla? If you're n-"
"Wha-Of course I AM! Er, we've got to go now. I'll be back before 10! I'll call you if I need anything! Bye mom!" I said quickly and kissed her cheek and grabbed Macy's hand and we made our way to her car, fast.
"Well, that was a nervous interrogation." Macy said and closed her car door.
"Tell me about it. Now, drive. Quick! Before she changes her mind. You know how she is. She gets really lonely now that my dad's on his business trip. And sometime she's kind of crazy!" I said.
"Okay, okay "crazy lady". Where should we head to?"
"The mall! Duh!" I said.
"Okay then, fasten your seat-belts! This is going to be a fucking long day." It is!
