Chapter 2

Kenzas POV

I basically just talked to vic for what seemed like hours about what we like and dislike. Soon we had to leave for curfew and well I think you can guess what happens if we are late so Camilla kept on nagging me to go.

"Kenza we have to go now." Cami said in a worried tone

"We don't have to be home 'til 5."

"We have 3 minutes Kenza!" She screamed at me and I froze in my tracks. 

"Kenza, Kenza." I hear Vic saying but didn't snap out of my trance until....

"MCKENZA" I hear Vic and Cami say in unison. I suddenly snap out of my trance and concentrate.

"Bye Vic." I say quickly and grab Cami by her wrists and dragged her and started running. Please say we'll make it in time please.

"Shit Kenza it's 5!"  Cami screams scared, scared of what our family will do to her. To us. We continued to run and run. Then we yanked the handle down and forcefully pushed the door.

"YOU ARE LATE SLUTS." Our father roared at us and grabbed us by our hair and kept punching and punching us until we could hardly breathe whilst my mum was laughing and encouraging him to endlessly beat us. We just kept screaming hoping someone can hear us.

"Why don't you leave Mckenza. You are old enough already to leave us all and now we have to deal with 2 slutty bitches." My mum screeched at us.

"I won't leave...OK I WON'T and do you know why?.... BECAUSE OTHERWISE I WOULD BE LEAVING MY LIL' SIS TO GET BEATEN BY MONSTERS." I yelled back at them. I would never ever leave my sister to some sad excuse of a pair of parents.

Vics POV

I started humming a song from a day to remember-all I want. I was enjoying the solitude and heard a scream. But whose. I listened through the door and heard arguing. Mckenza and Camilla. I waited and heard Kenzas speech and smiled. I kicked the door down and they eyes were staring into mine. I was just staring and saw what they went through and soon remember that they had to leave early. They must have been late. Kenza ran to me and hugged me and I hugged back. Camilla was lying on the ground unconscious

"....Get out Kenza and take your sister. I'll deal with these jerks." I whispered and it soon made me realise that I was falling for Kenza.

" HAHA how exactly little boy... OH now I recognise you. You are the lead singer for that sad excuse for a band, and what you are going to beat me up. Love to see you try." I then ran to him and punched him in the jaw, the nose and kicked him in the stomach. Now he was coughing blood and there was blood running from his nose. I ran to the girls and got them out and to my house.

"Hey Vic... What the hell happened to them girls." Jaime asks

Jaimes POV

I hear the door close  and walk towards the door wondering why he took a whole hour to get home.

"Hey Vic..." I start before I see a beaten Kenza and Cami is....unconscious. No not Cami. She is beautiful and she is bubbly and everything I love in a girl. She may be a bit young but still... I love her so much and seeing her like that. Kenza sat down on the sofa.

"One of you needs to take Cami to the..."

"I'll do it. I'll take her to the hospital." I rashly said. I then realised I was protecting her.

"Do you like my sister?" She asked. No backing out now and I slowly nodded.

"Treat her right then OK and if she gets into a worse condition you are dead mate." She replied. God she can be quite scary.

"I'll make sure Kenza is OK so you go and help Cami Jaime." Vic then added. It was so obvious that he liked Kenza. So obvious.

VICS POV

I took Kenza into my room and cleaned her wounds.

"Thanks....for.... everything." She said and then we started to lean towards each other. Inches away and then...

We kissed.
