Redemption

      "Out of my way boy..." "Please help I have nothing, I'm cold, homeless, and hungry... Please I just need a home" said Cecil. "Get out of my way boy" as the man pushes Cecil out of the way "you homeless people just need to die, you don't deserve a place in this town". A sad look appears on Cecil's face he thought to himself "I'm all alone in this world... No one will help... I'm worthless... Why am I here... I don't know who I am anymore. Is Cecil still here, where did he go, or was he ever here. Mom... Dad... Susan... They are all gone now it's just you... It's your time to join them in the next life..." Cecil looks down at his hand "I'm just a shell of once a good person, however grief and depression has taken him..." Cecil goes to the top of a parking garage and closes his eyes and is about to make that final leap off the tall structure. As he takes in that what he thinks to be his last breath and prepares himself to jump. Seconds before a man grabbed him and pulled him off the ledge, when Cecil turned he saw it was a man in a really nice fancy suit and hat. The man said "what the hell you do a dumbass move like that for boy" Cecil looking dumbfounded looked at the man and said "wh... who are you" the man replied "Avi Vladimir, now what the hell you doing boy. Better not be thinking about jumping off that ledge, that would be a pretty dumb idea" Cecil said "I'm tired of not having someone to take care if me. Cecil gets a sad look "drunk driver crashed into them on their way home from my sister Susan's band concert..." Avi with a surprised look on his face "I'm so sorry boy... I'll help you. I'll raise you" Avi looks at him with compassion in his eyes "by the way never cought your name. Wouldn't be proper of me to call you boy the rest of the time your with me?" Cecil looks with a tear in his eye "Ce... Cecil Phillips" Avi smiles and picks Cecil up "Cecil huh... A name of character and potential. Your suffering is over I personally will make sure of that.
