Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I personally think that everyone is being ducking idiots and looking into this video way too much. The answer is REALLY DUCKING SIMPLE.
During the drunk/stoked on drugs trip everyone has, you see them drinking, having fun, having arguments over poker, and so on. But it's towards the end we see a gun.
The Kernel loads the gun with one bullet before we see him point it at the Detective.
