He stood four-three and was the shortest eighth grader in his school. He had asthma and was in the accelerated program. He  often outsmarted the other kids and loved proving people wrong.

When the man took him he was walking home from his college algebra class and was shivering cold. His parents were supposed to pick him up, but they were probably out drinking, like they usually were.

He tried to remember the coordinates of where he was standing, but it was so dark outside he couldn't decipher them.

After the first two girls went and the two boys lucked out, mathematics and calculations told him that he was next. And he was.
