I yawned. I yawned. I yawned. I barely got any sleep last night. I was thinking too much about how she looked.

I got out of my bed and went to take a shower. I walked in the bathroom and turned the shower on, all the way to hot. I took off my clothes and stepped in. Steamy hot. Perfect.

I got out the shower and walked back into my room. I put on my underwear, my black hoodie, and some dark blue jeans. It was almost summer time but I always wear this.

I walked out of my little house and through the woods to where the cafe was. We didn't specify the time but my whole life revolves around waiting.

"Hey." The girl behind the counter said as I walked in. I waved kindly. I haven't bothered to kill her yet because she makes my tea every time I come here and she is the only one who can make it the right way.

I sit down at the normal table I sit at. Right by a window but facing the door so that I can see who comes in and who goes out.

"Hey!" I hear someone say. I look over to my right and see her. She smiles and sits across from me, blocking my view of the door. "Honestly, I didn't think you would actually show up." She says.

"Yeah well, neither did I." I agree.

She looked at me funny. She had this weird look in her eyes. "Well I'm glad you came though. I would've been lost without you, literally." Her chipper voice was ringing in my ears.

"It was no problem." I reply.

"You don't talk much.." She trailed off and looked me in the eye.

"And you talk a lot." I retort.

She looks at me for a while and then laughs. "So far, we seem like polar opposites." She giggles. It's cute.

"So, what do you think I should get. I've only been here once before." She smiles and looks up from the menu.

"I get tea every time so I wouldn't know what to recommend." I say.

"Well then I'll just get the same." She smiles and folds back up the menu. She smiles....a lot. "I'm Quill by the way."

I nod. The waiter comes out and gives me my regular tea but I send her back and tell her to give me my tea when they have Quill's tea ready.

"You didn't have to do that, it's not like I would've been jealous because you had your tea before me." She says.

"Well, I don't know why I did it but I just felt like it was the right thing to do." I lower my head. I look towards the clock, noon. If I want to kill her, I have to come up with a plan to be alone with her for a while.

The waiter comes back with both of our drinks.

"Thank you." Quill smiles at the waiter and she walks off. "So, do you have a job?" She asked.

I'm startled by her sudden interest. My eyes widen and I look at her. She looks at me with a concerned expression. I can tell she is confused on why I'm reacting like this. I smile to lighten the mood and she gives me a hesitant one in return.

"I hunt." I reply. It's close enough right? I kill people instead of animals though.

"Oh, that's cool." She looks down at her tea and goes to take a sip but stops and sets it down. "Actually, no. If we are going to be friends, I have to be honest. Hunting scares me and I don't like it. It seems cruel."

"I think it's fun. Especially the rush when you finally catch the prey and kil- Well... you know." I trailed off, I didn't want to scare her off. She shudders.

"That just seems so wrong to me, those poor animals." She sighs and takes a sip of her tea.

Well they aren't animals anyways.

"So, how long have you lived here?" She asked.

I look down at my tea and try to remember just how long I've been here but it still hasn't come back to me.

"A while." I respond.

"Oh, well you know I just moved here. Hence the fact that I couldn't find my way home.." She sighs again. Her phone buzzes and she checks it quickly. "Crap, I have to go, I have a job interview that was supposed to start ten minutes ago." She laughs slightly.

She looks up at me for a while then pulls out a ten dollar bill, a piece of paper, and a pen.

"I asked you here so I got the bill. And also.." She starts writing something on the paper. "Here's my number."

I look up at her in surprise as she hands me the paper.

"What? Friends have each others numbers." She smiles and sets the paper in front of me. She gets up and leaves.

"Friends?" I said out loud. I looked around, took the paper, and walked out. I need to kill someone, get my mind off things.

I looked around and walked to the park off in the distance. I checked my watch, it was close to one. Too soon. I sigh, pull up my hood and start walking back to what I call my home.
