((Picture is Of Anabell. You'll learn in this chapter who Anabell is.))
Rachel sat on the tile floor waiting for the nurse to open her door. The dinner bell went off about five minutes ago.
Finally Mrs. Ping opens Rachel's door. "Ready for dinner?" She asks when Rachel walks out.
"Yeah." Rachel says though she wasn't excited at all. "What should I expect." She asks Mrs. Ping.
"It's going to be loud. We might have a couple people refuse food." Mrs. Ping says.
Rachel nods. She freezes when she gets to the cafeteria. There where fifteen tables that held twenty kids each.
"I-I can't. There is too many people.."Rachel says the memory of school flooding her mind.
"You'll be okay. There are guards everywhere. Go to one if the voices start talking to you. They will help." Mrs. Ping says and walks away to let the rest of the kids out.
Rachel walks to the line. Looking around she noticed it was very bright. The walls where white, reflecting the light, making it brighter. The only window in the entire place that wasn't barred was in the cafeteria.
"Name?" The lunch lady says, smiling at Rachel.
"Rachel."
"Here you go." She says handing Rachel a tray with, mashed potatoes, salad, and a slab of meat.
Rachel walks to an empty table and sits. A girl with very thin brown hair walks over. She is thin. Almost sickly thin.
"Hi. I'm Anabell. What's your name?" Anabell says sitting across the way from Rachel.
"I'm Rachel." She says picking at the salad.
"Nice to meet you. Why did you get placed here? You seem... sane?" Anabell says tilting her head.
"I almost killed three kids at school because the voices said to." Rachel says looking at Anabell. "Why are you here, besides being so sickly thin." She snaps.
"Owch." Anabell says grabbing her chest. "Sickly? I'm here because I am anorexic and have ghosts." Anabell says.
"You mean people only you see.?" Rachel says.
Anabell nods. Rachel looked over Anabell. She was covered in scars. You could see everyone of her bones. She was sick."Listen up!" A voice yells. The cafeteria quites. Anabell and Rachel looked toward the noise and saw a man. He was tall. He had to be six foot or taller. He had short grey hair and piercing green blue eyes. "Thank you for quieting down. Welcome to West Kite Mental Asylum. We have seventeen new people who need to be introduced to the staff. I am Mr. Kite. My father opened this mental asylum up when he had a young boy with Multiple Personality Disorder. We have Mrs. Franks, who is our new Eating Disorder specialist. Over there," he says as he points his finger toward a blond haired tall woman. "Is Jamie Lynn. She is our therapist." Mr. Kite smiles.
Rachel's eyes widen as she sees Mr. Kite melt.
"Mr. Kite!" She yells running up. "You are melting! You need to get outta here!" She yells. Genuinely, scared for Mr. Kite's safety.
"Is this the new girl Rachel?" Mr. Kite asks Mrs. Ping, who was sitting next to him.
"Yes, sir. Severe schizophrenia." Mrs. Ping says.
Mr. Kite smiles at Rachel and grabs her hand softly. "Take me to safety Rachel." He says and let's Rachel lead him away from the cafeteria, outside. After a few minutes outside, Rachel's hallucination was over. "I'm sorry Mr. Kite. I didn't know it was a hallucination." Rachel says looking at the ground.
"Don't beat yourself up over it, Rachel. We will learn how to help you realize reality from the visions." Mr. Kite says puffing on a cigarette.
"Why didn't I get my cigarettes?" Rachel asks tilting her head.
"The first day nobody does. But, here. You need it." Mr. Kite says handing her a cigarette.
"Thank you." She says as she sparks it up. "You know.. I think I'll like it here."
Mr. Kite smiles. "That's good. I don't think you'll be leaving for a long time."
