Polyamory is a type of relationship that consists of having multiple romantic and/or sexual partners. Everyone knows about everyone else's partners.
Example:
Jake is dating Mike. Kayla is dating Tiffany. Tiffany is dating Mike. Jake knows that Tiffany and Mike are dating. Kayla also knows that Tiffany and Mike are dating. Jake and Kayla are not dating. Jake and Kayla are ok with the fact that their significant other is dating someone else while being with them. Mike and Tiffany are ok dating other people while dating each other.
