After breakfast was finished and we had said goodbye to our friends we set out at 0800 hours. At 1300 hours we stopped at the apple orchard on the edge of Master's property for lunch. We plucked a few apples and that is all we had for lunch. After lunch was done we marched on. After two uneventful days walking at a leisurely pace we realised that we were only a few miles outside of Opcor. As a matter of fact we could see it from where we were,on top of an average sized hill. We marched on through the plains. At the end of our fifth day walking we were able to see the edge of the forest. The sight of the forest heartened us both. This heartened Ivanka who was getting tired of seeing grass, grass, and more grass. This heartened me because we only have barely enough food to get to Selio. We walked faster and stayed right next to the forest. We made it to the other side of the forest in two days.
"You wait here Ivanka.", I told her leaving her by the path into the forest
"Why? I can go with you into Selio."
"Two Aivels would attract more attention than one."
"But what if you get caught? They won't believe that you're are on your way to kill a Scientifiko."
"If I'm not back by nightfall you go along the path into the forest by yourself but wait until morning to start of course.", I humored her. I knew I wouldn't let myself be taken back to Master's estate.
"Goodbye! See you later."
"Yeah see you later." she called to me with a hint of fear in her voice.
