You were awoken by a sudden noise coming from the room next to yours. You immediately sat up, trying to list the possible scenarios which could occur.
Your parents weren't home, so the obvious option is that somebody had broken in. Yes! A burglar, maybe, or maybe a mu-
"I'm sorry."
You squealed as you turned to your doorframe, seeing a tall dark figure there. In panic, you grabbed your phone and switched the torch on, shining it on the intruder. They reacted by throwing their sleeve infront of their eyes, shielding them from the bright light.
"N-Nagito?" You immediately relaxed, switching your torch off and smiling at the figure as the slight creak from the floorboards indicated him coming closer. "Why did you... break in?"
"Sorry," He audibly sighed, perching on the end of your bed by your feet. "I just wa- Well I just.."
"Just what?" You leaned forward and wrapped your arms around his torso, resting your head on his shoulder and pressing a light kiss on his neck. He leaned up and wrapped his hand up and around to go in your hair and run his fingers through a few strands.
"Can I stay?" It came out as almost a whisper.
"Of course you can." You smiled, lying back and tugging his arm back. You caught glimpse of a smile gracing his features, before he fell back and pulled the covers over you both.
You, almost from instinct, put your leg over his lower body and snuggled into him as he wrapped his arms around you in return, pulling you up slightly. You felt him smile into your head, sighing in content.
"Thank you, my hope. I'm sorry for being such trouble and worrying you this late in the night."
"It's alright," You smiles up at him. "remember you're my hope too, and i'll do anything to make sure you smile."
You couldn't see him, but you could tell that he was smiling wider. He pulled you up further and nuzzled his face into your neck, whispering an almost inaudible "thank you", sending you both into a peaceful slumber
