Chapter 3: If I stay

I can't breathe

Why is this happening to me? Why do I have to witness something that hell knows would shatter me into pieces.

Akala ko Okay na ko, matagal na kasi yun eh. First love ko lang naman siya, hindi naman lahat ng first love makakatuluyan mo diba? 

Pero iba kasi si Brice, I loved him so much or should I say, I love him so much

Because of sadness and tears I didn't notice how beautiful the dark sky was, how the stars shine brightly and seem to be rejoicing for the newly engaged couple. Even the stars are happy for them.

"Fuck! ako lang ba talaga ang hindi okay dito?!" I whispered. Suddenly, a shooting star passed by.

"Great!" sigaw ko sa utak ko

"Look at the stars, look how they shine for you"  bigla nalang my sumulpot na boses sa likod ko. Hindi ako pwede magkamali, si Sir.Flynn yun. Boses pa lang nairita na ko eh

"For me? or for them? come on"

"Oo hindi nga sayo, the stars shine for them" aba loko to ah, kala ko pa naman icocomfort ako 

'But look at my eyes, they only shine for you Paige"  I suddenly catched my breath

"what?" Nabigla ako dun ah. Smooth

"Wala hahaha, so ano na? bakit ka nandito? Hindi ka ba nageenjoy sa loob?" He changed the topic , freak talaga

"Hindi eh, wala naman akong kilala sa loob, ewan ko nga kung bakit invited ako dito"

"So what are we waiting for? Leggo!"

"Huh? sabog ka ba?? Uuwi nako weirdo"

"Hatid na kita Paige, gabi na oh"

"May kotse ako" ang kulit niya

"Okay take care Paige, see you at school"

"Okay" tumalikod nako at naglakad palabas

"And oh, let the stars guide you hahaha" pahabol pa ni ungas

"Weirdo talaga"  bulong ko sa sarili ko, hindi na ko lumingon, baka mangulit pa, mahirap na

Sunday ngayon, so no Classes. Hassle-free and Flynn-free

Ayoko muna makipag mingle sakanya after nung incident last night.

I feel so weak that night and I looked like a vulnerable little girl in front of him

I'll just go to my favorite resto after church. Kailangan ko maglabas ng stress. At walang ibang effective stress reliever except sa paborito kong resto. Bukod sa masarap na pagkain, napaka calm pa ng ambiance. Perfect for today.

Paige's POV 

It's 7 in the evening and andami nang tao dito, weekend kasi buti nalang I managed to reserve a table

I checked my phone 

3 missed calls all from Raffy and 2 messages: One from Raffy and One from an unregistered number

Raffy:

Hoy Paige bakit hindi ka sumasagot, akala ko ba magshoshopping tayo? XOXO

Look at the stars Paige, they're shining for you again. Hahaha

Shit, si star freak how the hell did he get my number?!

"A penny for your thoughts"

"Make it a dollar, huh?! what the hell? ano ginagawa mo dito"

"I missed you too"

"Shut it, Brice"

"I just stopped by to take-out dinner for Cara, but since you're here, pwede bang makishare ng table, puno na lahat eh"

"Akala ko ba magtatake-out ka?"

"I changed my mind. I believe we have some catching up to do."

"Catching up your face. Are we going to talk about your engagement and why the hell did you invite me to your engagement party, huh?"

"Cara said she wants you to be there"

"So the bitch knew me, huh?"

"Cara stop it, we both know that I don't have feelings for her, my eyes are set on you, only you Eithne"

"So bakit may engagement pa, damn it! stop it, Save!. Ginugulo mo utak ko" I panicked, what am I supposed to say, what am I supposed to feel?

"It was arranged by our parents. You know how our world works Paige. We have no say on anything, even in this kind of matter."

"That's so unfair Brice. Hindi ganyan ang pagkakakilala ko sayo. Akala ko ba matigas ka! akala ko ba gago ka?! bakit di ka magpaka gago ngayon. Ngayon mo gamitin yung katigasan ng ulo mo! I beg you, Brice. Do something for God's sake!"

"Hush baby, Im trying. Kung may pinaka nahihirapan dito, ako yun. Sino ba ang matatali habang buhay sa taong hindi mo mahal? Ako diba? What the fuck should I do? It's confusing, they're pushing me to continue this fucking marriage. My dad's company is at stake"

"Hindi ba kaya ka nag-aral sa New york, to save your company? Hindi ba kaya mo ako iniwan noon para dyan sa kompanya niyo? so what now? Para saan ang lahat?"

"Ma'am, Sir, may I take your orders please?"

"No thanks, nawalan na ko ng gana" inayos ko na ang mga gamit ko at tumayo para umalis

"Paige I'll try to fix this, just hold on okay, baby?"

"Make it fast Save. Mainipin ako, alam mo yan. You better make your move before I do. We both know you won't like it when I'm mad. I always get what I want Save. Keep that in mind."
