Sara walked up to the waverider besides the two love birds listening to Kendra, talk about how much she missed the Internet when they saw the large ship take off into the sky.
They all started off in a pointless run, as though they would be able to catch the waverider until they stopped and watched it disappear into the sky.
"Where did they go?"
"Better question, why did they leave us?"
The three stood in silence for a few moments wondering where the team had gone, and why the three of them had been left in 1958. "We just have to stay calm, where ever they time jumped, when ever, they'll come back to this exact same moment."
At the time Ray's advice made the most sense, they had a time ship, they wouldn't leave them stranded here, in the 1950s. They looked up into the sky and waited, for what seemed like an eternity, but according to Sara's watch had only been 10 minutes.
"They're not coming back, let's go" Sara spoke up, breaking the long silence, getting impatient and frankly quite annoyed.
"Look as a former Eagle Scout with over a hundred merit badges, no big deal. The first rule of getting lost is stay in the same place, that way you can be found." Ray said pacing back and forth, trying to keep himself calm.
Sara stood up, so she was no longer leaning against the tree, "And as a former member of the league of assassins the first rule when you've been attacked is to keep moving."
"I sort of think league wisdom trumps the Eagle Scouts here. Plus savage is still out there"
Ray still didn't want to give up hope on them, not yet anyway, "Guys, the rest of the team would not leave us marooned in 1958."
"Except for that exactly what they did" raising her voice slightly, already annoyed at Ray's optimism and at the team for leaving them. "You said it yourself, you have a time machine and you're never late. They're not coming back" she told them, the last part slightly softer, before turning around and walking away from the two lovebirds.
She did not know why it had took them 10 hours to come up with the very simple plan of stealing a car and leaving the place, but they had. So now Sara was half in a purple car, she was not sure of the make, breaking into it. "One good thing about 1958, no car alarms" she informed the other two as she fiddled with the wires.
"I didn't think they had cars in Nanda Parbat" Kendra said, surprised at how good Sara was at breaking into cars. "Dated a lot of delinquents as a teenager", this caused Kendra to laugh
Ray looked slight annoyed, not only at Sara, but at their whole situation, as though they could do anything about it. "And now we're the delinquents" Sara glared at him, his attitude annoying her.
"If we leave harmony falls how's the rest of the team going to find us" Ray said in a last ditched attempt to detour them from the plan. "We don't know if their looking for us, but we know savage is, we can't take him which means we can't stay here" Sara said before shutting her door.
"Let's go" Kendra spoke softly as she climbed into the passenger seat, also closing her door. Ray reluctantly followed them into the car.
They all climbed into the car, and headed off to Hub City
[I'm sorry this chapter is so short, and it's basically the start of 1x09 but I just needed a base to start this story]
