"Can I go to a nearby concert with Chris?"

"Absolutely not."

I glare at my parents as a few days ago Christopher came over to meet them. It didn't go well...

Practically came and they told him things he didn't need to know and made him feel like crap. Which I didn't appreciate.

"Why not?! Chris will be there, he'll protect me-."

"Most certainly not if he'll be there."

"Why are you guys so mean?! Chris is so nice and sweet and-."

"Bullied you until you wanted to-."

"Stop rehashing things from the past. It won't change how I feel for him." I interrupt, and my father sighs.

"That Christopher doesn't deserve to be with my son. I don't want made you fall in love with him, but being with him will not bring positivity. He's going to one day just hurt you."

"I somehow doubt that. And he came out to his parents and they're accepting."

"We accept you," I fold my arms, turning away,"we just don't accept your choice. Your bully as a consideration just baffles me - still to this day!" My Mom covers her face, and I sigh.

"I'm going to that concert."

"No you aren't."

I fold my arms, I am not going to win this argument. They just can't come to like Chris and see past what he did.

I leave their library, going outside as I see Chris corvette parked on my driveway. When I get to his car the window rolls down, and he has a pout on his face.

"They said no didn't they?"

"Oh my gosh how'd you know?!" I pretend to be surprised, Chris smiling as he quickly frowns at his steering wheel.

"It's just not fair."

"I know-."

"No you don't know. You're not the one being ridiculed and having to look at two people - Alphas - and they look at you like they want to rip out my beating heart and step on it 'til it's flat then feed it to some wild dogs."

"How explicit. I'm pretty sure they'd only do the first part." I joke, and he looks at me with worry. " I'm kidding."

I lean against his car as I try to think of something - anything to have me be able to go.
