My nana had told me about Green Lake Village and explained that it was a good starter job for me. She told me that my mom and dad even started off working there that's how they meet. Green Lake Village is a Nursing Home and was a very good one at that ! If you ask me.
One day in June she called me and told me to get dressed because were going down to Green Lake to fill out a application today. Of course it was early in the morning and I was it ready at all I had just woke up so I wasn't really feeling it. Before I knew it my nana was outside rooting the horn and my nana was not one to play with , if she said be ready when she gets there. My god you better be ready no if ands or but about it.
We arrived at the nursing home and we got out the car, it was so big it even had sort of like a resort hooked on to it for the elderly people that could do for themselves but didn't want to be at home anymore. When we walked in we were greeted by a nice short women at the desk and she told us to precede down the hall.
We had to walk down a long hallway before we reached Human Resources where the applications could be found. The women at the time in charge of everything name was Suzie Brown. She gave me the application and told me to complete it. I completed it right then and returned it to Suzie. ... believe it or not the next day I got a call for a interview.
