Summary: Harry is a scientist that just wants to be left alone. For years now, he's been spending loads of time inside of his lab, trying to find a concoction that could potentially cure cancer. His boyfriend, Louis, makes it quite difficult to do this, though, with his constant and persistent questions.
One day, Harry becomes angry and the couple start to fight, Louis leaving his lab. At afternoon, Harry becomes restless and just can't concentrate on the task at hand. He leaves his lab in search for Louis, not able to find time at all. Then, the seemingly impossible happens.

"What are you doin'?" Louis asked, making Harry jump, a glass tube of green liquid falling from his hands. Harry sighed, only a bit agitated with Louis' constant questions. All day, Louis had been asking silly things he already knew the answer to. It was something Harry would have to get used to at some point, since it was a daily happening at this point. Yet, Louis would still send chills down Harry's spine every time he popped up behind him in his lab.
"The same thing I always do, Pinkie," Harry teased, his voice a bit monotone, like he almost meant it. But Louis was use to his teasing tones, had to be at this point.
By the way Louis rolled his eyes, Harry knew that Louis recognized the joking.
"Ha, ha," Louis droned, smirk falling on his lips. "You're so funny, Harry. I'm sure the crickets chirping are just here to cheer you on, love."
Harry snickered, looking at Louis from the corner of his eyes. With quick darting of blue, Louis looked around the room, finally focusing on the liquid bubbling in front of Harry. Before Louis got any ideas, Harry coughed, catching his boyfriend's attention.
"Don't touch anything in here, Lou, unless you're positive you're allowed to," Harry warned, making Louis snort.
"I'll have you know, I am not a child, Styles," Louis said, sitting on the stool Harry left next to his experimenting table, just for Louis to watch. He had learned the hard way that Louis was an over-the-shoulder watcher. Which was on thing that bothered Harry loads.
With a firm grip and steady hands, Harry slowly poured some green liquid into the formula. There was a small chemical reaction where the yellowing liquid started to fizz. But other than that, there was nothing special about it.
Yet Louis was sat in front of Harry, watching it fizz in awe. Then, as Harry suspected, an influx of questions tumbled out of Louis' mouth.
"What is this? Is this for the cancer thing? Why is it fizzing? Why is it yellow, of all colors? If it's bubbling, does that mean it's warm?"
Harry knew Louis was just curious, and he really meant well. And Harry appreciated that Louis seemed to be truly invested in Harry's sciences. But, at a certain point, the constant questions became annoying. Each time he was tempted to yell, though, Harry bit his cheek and answered carefully.
"It's an experimental fizzy drink, so no, it is not for the cancer research program. It is fizzing because it's a fizzy drink. It is yellow because the different flavors and chemicals that go into the base cause a yellow hue. And no. It's just a fizzy drink," Harry answered slowly.
