The gentle touch of the midnight breeze easily woke me as I was drifting through my dream. As winter approaches even a simple night could turn into the coldest one in just one sweep of air. Feeling drowsy, I reached for my blanket and pulled it up to my shoulders tucking it in tightly. In spite of that, my body still desires an extra amount of heat since I have low tolerance to cold. I gently stroked the other side of the bed hoping to find comfort but only an empty silk sheet welcomed the palm of my hand. I immediately opened my eyes to confirm that it was really empty, that he wasn't there.

Where could he be? I thought. I forced myself up with the little strength I have regained after waking up. I reached for my robe and head out of the room to look for him. I walked through the empty hall swaying in every step, searching every room yet he was still nowhere to be found. I continue to wonder where he might be or where he went and started to get worried.

I instinctively head downstairs as I thought that maybe a glass of water can calm me before I look for him again. As I reached the kitchen and head towards the fridge, I poured myself a glass and drink it slowly, trying to put myself at ease. But my body tells otherwise, it was disagreeing, because my heart was pounding hard like a jackhammer on a concrete ground.

My eyes widen and blood rushed through my veins as I have glimpsed of a silhouette moving outside our backyard. I slowly put down my glass and cautiously approach the back door, high on guard and high on adrenaline. I was ready to pounce on whoever it was but instantly felt relieved as I realized it was just him. To my surprise, he was doing push-ups wearing only his pajamas on and with nothing to cover him much. Before questioning his judgment, I went inside and opened one of the cupboards to get him a mantle to cover him up with. As he still didn't notice me as I approach him I threw the mantle at him and it wrapped perfectly over his head.

"Ah!" he exclaimed as he struggled to get out of the trap I put him on. As he finally escaped, he sat on the grass and faced me looking so pale. "Y-you scared me," he stuttered, pulling the mantle and wrapping it around his body making him resemble a cute little burrito.

"I scared you?" I asked, standing right in front of him, one brow raised from the other. "You scared me first. You were not in bed when I woke up," I pointed out with a slightly high tone making him lower his head like a lost puppy.

"O-oh..." he sighed, avoiding to look while fidgeting."Did I make you worry?" he added, standing up and instantly shifting his expression, planting a smirk on his face, teasing me.

"Did I make you—?" I repeated with disbelief, I raised up my arm making him flinch and guard his face with his arms ready to take on what he thought I was about to deliver but instead I pulled the mantle tightly around his body. "Of course, you did. I thought something happened to you," I said as I sat on the porch after I fixed his covering.

"For a second there, I thought you were going to hit me," he sat beside me with an expression of relief. Squeezing himself next to me although there's a lot of space on the other side.

"You know I wouldn't," I replied not minding what he was doing and looked down feeling like all my energy was drained out from me after the sudden rush I had earlier.

"I know," he gave me a peck on the cheek and faced me with his undeniably beautiful smile. He raised his arm together with the mantle and put it over my shoulder making it seem like a half hug. I suddenly felt nice and warm on the inside while he rubs his hand on my arm. It was comforting which only he has the ability to make me feel. We sat quietly for a few minutes under the light of the full moon. Illuminating every little thing in sight with its powerful bright light. It was serene. Looking at the moon itself felt so calming.
