Saturday morning all alone. No one was home so I had to cook for myself. I grabbed a pan that grandma gave us at christmas, when the family was all together. I was used to being alone. Ive been like this ever since dad left us. It has been me and ma. I cooked some oatmeal. The smell reminds me of when dad used to cook for us. I grabbed the milk from the old fridge and there was hardly any of it. It was a struggle for me and ma, trying to find a home, food, or clothes. Ma spent months trying to find a job. She works as a janitor and barely gets money. Its hard but she somehow never gives up.
Then, the doorbell rings. It was a random man with a suit. I thought about not opening it. "Who's this" i said. "The rental company". I was shocked because no one comes and visits us. I slowly opened the door.
"Its ok I work in a company" the man said. "i came to tell you that the rent has gone up" I zoned out. Thinking how much it would be a struggle for ma.
"Excuse me" I said. I closed the door. I went to the spot my ma would save her money. She had $32 left. I came back and open the door. "You ok" the man said. Yea im fine... The man left. I closed the door and ran to the only room we had. I checked my bank i found near the dumpster, It was still useful.Sadly, it only had $13. I had NO IDEA how i'm gonna get the money?
