Dragon Heart

A week later. Ace and me we getting closer, always talking about if we were siblings, and how we could try something else to help us find the missing Fay household, or just talking about life, with he has been getting more emotional during them each time we talk about it.

"Ace! wait up!" I yelled as I ran to catch up with him. He had stormed out after he woke up. 

"What Ava?" He asked now stopping to turn to me. I looked at him. 

"Did you have a nightmare?" I asked, walking up to him. He sighed. 

"Nah, I don't know what it was." Ace whispered then hugged me. I was a little shocked due to he hasn't hugged me since that night outside the inn.

"A-ace? Want to talk about it?" I asked not knowing if he did. 

"Ava... It's just... Sometimes my mind plays pieces of history in front of my eyes when I'm asleep. there worse than a night terror. I cant wake until my body is ready. I can yell out or anything of the sort. I just look and watch things that are in front of my eyes from the past. this one was nothing but fire, black scales, and large tuff claws. I saw a baby in the corner of my eye, and frantic yelling and screams of a woman covering the crib. that's all I could see and here." He whispered.

"Ace, that sounds a lot like my nightmares I always use to get when I was younger. the woman who raised me said that I wouldn't sleep until I knew everything was out and off that was related to gas and fire. She also said I hated anything with scales." I replied snuggling more into Ace's arms. 

"cold?" He asked. I nodded huddling into his embrace. Ace opened his jacket up me let my arms slip around between him and his coat. "better?" He asked once more, and like last time I nodded. being so close to him somehow made me feel better about the whole dilemma that we are in.  

(Ace p.o.v) 

I don't know what has come over me this last few weeks, well months we were traveling a lot to get to that inn then nows a week from then. so last few months. don't know how she did it. braking that untrusting wall, but she did. maybe it's just that she looked so weak and helpless, that day, crying in the snow after getting so angry with me. something just hit when She was crying that made me feel like I needed to make sure I don't make her cry again. She's more open with how she feels then I am, that's for sure.

"cold?" I asked. she nodded huddling into my the embrace. I opened my jacket up me let her arms slip around between me and my coat. "better?" I asked once more, and like last time she nodded.

"Hey, Ace when are you going to trim that head of hair of yours or at least brush it?" She asked, I looked up at the messy white mop that I called hair, and laughed, which made her join in. 

"I don't know what I'm going to do with it, I just don't like brushes," I say with a smile. Ava removed one of her arms from my jacket and reached for the tips of my hair. I stood still as she removed the other arm and started to brush my hair with her fingers; trying to be gentle and get the tangled bits of hair loss too. "come on let's get back inside." I say feeling better. She nodded and we went inside. 

(Ava p.o.v) 

"Hey, Ace when are you going to trim that head of hair of yours or at least brush it?" I asked, he looked up at the messy white mop that he called hair, and laughed, which made me join in.

"I don't know what I'm going to do with it, I just don't like brushes," he says with a smile. I removed one of my arms from his jacket and reached for the tips of his hair. he stood still as I removed the other arm and started to brush his hair with my fingers; trying to be gentle and get the tangled bits of hair loss too. "come on let's get back inside." he said. I nodded and we went inside.  When we get inside we see Nico glaring at Yuki.

"You Kids are getting along more so after we went to that Inn last week. " Yuki says. 

"Shut your mouth Yuki before you say something you cant take back," Nico says. 

"Oh, that there siblings, and that there mother and father are dragons that can turn into a human so there for there dragons and have someone watching there every move. so they can find out their power on there own!" Yuki yelled. 

"Huh?"  Ace and I looked at them, then each other. 

"Yuki!" Nico yelled, looking at her. 

"I bet they already knew it!" Yuki yelled back. 

"Guys stop it!" I screamed, then said calmly once they shut their pie holes. "I always knew that someone or something was watching me, ever since my... well foster mom disappeared. for my mom and dad being full on dragons, highly unlikely. Since I'm human and the fay household is half human and half dragon ever since the beginning of time. Yeah, they may have the power to turn into a dragon or human." I say. Ace just looked at me then everyone else. 

"Wait you have proven that Ava and I are siblings?" Ace asked. I turn and looked at him. 

"Ah um no," Yuki says looking down. 

"Then shut your god damn mouth!" He yelled I took a half step back. 

"Ace calm down," Nico said walking up to him.  Ace just left without a word. 

"A-" I started to say when Ace yelled, "I'm going away for a month! I will be back With more information!" I stood there watching him leave me and the others. 

"Ace! be safe!" I yelled once I grasped what Just happen, with a door slam after. I sat down on the bed and curled up in the blankets.
