Chapter twenty-two

The kids played with their new dog in the backyard and we watch them behind the window.

"What a beautiful gift Suho." Leeteuk said. "Thanks, but it was Lay's idea." Suho said with a small smile.

He was still sad about what I thought.

I suddenly thought about the dogs food, which was still in his car. "Excuse me, I am going to get the dogfood out of the car."

I walked out of the house to my car, which was parked right in front of the house. But there was a male sitting outside on the ground.

"Kris?" He looked up.
"Why aren't you inside?" I asked. He shrugged. "I don't know."

I sigh and sat besides him. "Are you okay?" I asked. He didn't give me an answer. "Sehun got a puppy of Suho, Xiumin, Luhan and me. He played with her a month ago. He still remembered her name though." I said.

"That's cute." Kris said. "I will go inside now." He stood up. "Lay.. I am happy we all can be friends." He sadly smiles and walks in the house.

The guest went home one by one till only Kris, Luhan, me and of course Xiumin, Suho and the kids were the only one left.

"I will bring these plates to the kitchen." Xiumin said from the couch and wanted to stand up, but Luhan pushed him softly back. "No, you can't walk properly. I will do it." Luhan said and brought the plates to the kitchen.

Quite funny, first Xiumin was a terrible customer of Luhan and now Luhan is helping him.

Kyungsoo was sleeping at my chest, since he was really tired of the party. I look to the clock. 8:47 pm.

The older kids were sitting at the couch with their younger brothers. "I think it is time to sleep." Luhan stated. He stood up from the dinnerchair to lift Sehun of Chanyeol's lap. "Come guys. Let's sleep."

The guys were really tired, so they didn't object. Baekhyun lift up Kai, while Chen lift up Tao. Kris also stood up and held hands with Chanyeol.

"I will come upstairs in a minute." I whispered. The guys nodded and walks out of the livingroom.

I looked down at Kyungsoo. He was innocent, smart and always happy.

Kyungsoo's background is a little blurry. He was 1,5 years old when he ended up in the orphan. He was left behind at the gate, till another kid of the orphan found him.

I hugged Kyungsoo tighter. How must he feel? Not knowing your background... Your parents... Your story...

I sigh and stood up. "Shall I take care of him?" Suho, who just walks in, asked.

I smiled. "It is not a problem. I will bring him to bed after brushing his teeth." I walked along him, but he stopped me. "Are you staying the night?"

"I don't know. Do you want me to stay?" I teased him.

"I won't be asking it if I didn't want it." He scoffed.

I smiled and gave him a peck on his cheek. "Wait for me." I whisper and walks out of the room.

"Are the kids sleeping?" Luhan asked and I nodded. "I am sleeping the night here." I said. "Okay, I will go home though. No offense Xiu, but I rather choose my kingsize bed over a queensize/three-quaterbed." Luhan said to Xiumin.

Xiumin chuckled. "It is alright. I will go to sleep now." He stood up and limps out of the room.

"I am leaving too." Kris said and stood up. "I will see you guys later."
I saw Suho avoiding his gaze. "Let me know if you are going to the mall with the kids. I want to come along if that is okay." I nodded. Luhan got a lift from Kris and left too.
