Intro (part 1 of 5)
At sunset, the world is giving a goodbye to the innocence of day, and a warning of the intensity of darkness at night. Humanity goes mad in darkness, but the real question is, can the literal darkness force the mental stability of a persons mind to fall apart? With time yes, but the darkness of the mind can make the brightest lights seem black. With inner darkness one controls it by remaining civil and at peace. But a small act of savagery can set the beast out, sometimes the sanest ones are the most dangerous on the inside...
The slight hush of the trees and wind, the way the ocean splashes against the sand, and how the mixture of the oranges and reds that make the beautiful sky seem great, all bring a great pleasure to this already perfect place, one could say it's a dream spot. Of course a remote, tropical island with no one other than oneself, can seem great, but add, Civil, Savagery, love, death, teenagers, and a deserted island to the mix and this once beautiful, dream turns the greatest, most powerful nightmare into a reality. By day a get away, by night, a prison.
"HELP! Someone, please!" A girl with a face full of terror and exhaustion, came running out to the peaceful beach, jumping practically from the thick mossy woods.
"Hello?" A beautiful, young lady, with perfect hair and a natural beauty glowing from her olive skin. She had these prefect Carmel eyes, and had a cute but classy medium bob which with loose free big ringlets, which were more or less waves, popped out of the woods as well. "Are you alright?" She said to the frantic, paranoid girl laying on the ground in front her.
"No, no I'm not alright! I saw dead people, horrible, smelling dead people." the girl snapped at the beautiful young lady.
"I'm sorry, if I upset you, I found a fresh spring just by that huge rock, we should get some water, it might make you feel better. Oh and my name's Mary, and your's?" Mary said bringing the frightened girl to the spring.
"I'm Kara." She said shaking still. The two walked around the huge rock, the rock was about eight feet high with a mossy top that lead to the muddy bottom.
"See," Mary said cupping her hands and scooping the fresh water, she slurped and then with the red shininess of her lips she spoke again, "it taste oddly better than my house water," she said trying to make a small joke, but Kara was not amused. "C'mon try it, nothing's gunna happen." Kara slowly bent down and started to cup her hands when a group of boys came laughing and such around the corner and they headed for the beach.
"Look," Mary said pointing in the distance, while Kara was still drinking. "People, boys possibly our age, you're fifteen also?" Kara nodded in agreement. "Hello! Hey!" The two girls ran out from the rock to the open beach.
"My name's Mary and this is-"
"Kara." She interrupted Mary and rolled her eyes at her.
"Yes, and Kara, are there any others, any adults?" Mary said with a serious but calming voice.
"No sadly we are the only ones, the four of us walked around the island for an hour and there is no one. And my name is Jack." Jack was very tall and seemed to be quiet a bit older than the rest of the boys. Jack had brownish-red that was clean and short, but not a buzz cut. He also had the friendliest smile.
"I'm Piggy," everyone giggled a little, "I know guys it's funny, and I know in a little chubby, but can we act our ages and not be mean about it," Piggy was how he said, plump but not fat, he had cute dark blue eyes. He wasn't tall or short just average.
"My name is Simon," Simon was tall, and had dark brown hair, that could also seem black, he had very light blue eyes, that could almost be an ocean on themselves. Simon was quiet, his shyness and small smile made him more and more intriguing.
"And finally I'm Ralph," Ralph was the best looking boy out of the group, his handsome creamy fair skin, and his green brown eyes, made the light brown of his hair seem dashing. He had the best smile and he had a voice like honey. He had a very nice side smile towards Mary.
"I found a spring behind that rock over there, Kara and I were over there before you boys came around the corner." Mary said turning her head towards the direction of the rock. Another girl came around the corner in tears, she had shoulder length hair that was pin straight and blonde. She was a bit chubby and seemed to have sunburnt cheeks, and a line of freckles on her nose and upper cheeks.
"My name is Rosella, and I'm scared, and I don't know where I am." She started to have an anxiety attack on the beach. "Who are you people?" She asked crying then sitting down on a huge log that was on the beach.
"Well, we also are scared, take some deep breaths and relax for a minute," Mary said to the flustered, and anxious Rosella, "that's Kara, Jack, Piggy, Simon, and Ralph." Mary said tuning her head to Ralph then smiled.
Rosella started to giggle, "who's name is Piggy?" She smiled and looked up at Piggy.
"I know, I know, a funny fat kid name." Piggy and Rosella, laughed and started to get really into the conversation of names and such.
"As they converse we should talk about finding the plane and things we can use." Jack said gesturing to the whole group. "We need a leader, raise your hand if you want to be leader," Mary, Jack, and Ralph put their hands up, "Piggy, Rosella, would either of you like to be a leader," both looked at the faces staring at them, as if they have never been asked a question like that,
"no thanks I would much rather worry about talk and being friendly than a leader." Rosella said with such grace and class.
"Same for me, and I really don't have leadership qualities," the two kept talking about school, and home life, "oh but I don't mind voting."
"Oh yes same for me."
"Ok, you can't vote for yourself, and you can't vote twice, hear we go." Jack started, "all in favor for me as leader," two people voted, Piggy, and obediently Simon voted for Jack, only because they are best friends and played soccer together. Blushing and feeling embarrassed, he continued. "All in favor for Mary for leader," no one raised their hands, in fact the grouped laughed at her, as if she was ever going to be the leader, her face red and flushed with anger she stormed to the spring for some water, "ok let's get this over with, all in favor for Ralph," everyone else raised their hands for Ralph.
"Ok what should we do?," the group all looked at Ralph.
"Well, since Mary and Kara found water, we just need to find food, and the plane, we will make two groups-" before Ralph could finish,
"Ralph, can Rosella and I stay here," Piggy said with a peaceful grin.
"Of course, and as I was saying, the groups will be Simon, Jack, and Kara and then Mary and I." Mary came out of the woods in disgust, she went along with it only because everyone else likes the idea, "Ok and now for what you must be looking for," he paused for a moment to think.
"Since you are the bigger group you should look for food and animals that look easy to kill, and we will look for the plane. Are we ready? Oh and Piggy and Rosella will sat here and look for ships or planes. Let's go." He said walking closely behind Mary.
The group of three went around the beach, to where the fruit was growing. Not even walking ten feet into the mossy gross mess of a forest, there was the plane, the original color be a light grey, it was covered in mud and tree branches that you could barely tell the color.
"Ralph, there's an emergency aid kit, powered food, cans and knifes and such, but no raft." Mary focused on the good, "at least we have survival things." The two smiled, and brought the good news to the rest of the group.
