The Intern

Chapter # Intern Day

    Today I sit in my schools classroom waiting for all these people to show up to choose interns for their companies. Big whoop. Not really more boring. My father would be one of them but I know he wouldn't dare choose his own daughter because I've known the ins and outs of the company for years.

     Just then the doors slams up scaring everyone. I see a man jn a white suit with blue eyes. He glares at everyone.

    Just then the teacher says," Alright today we have major companies here for interns. You all are the cream of the crop so lets get this over with. Everyone flocked to my father and the other man. I rubbed my forehead and cock my head as the man denied almost all of them. I giggle and stay seated. The teacher stares at me as one of them tries to hit me for laughing. I twist the persons arm and restrain them pushing them on their ass into a chair as I sent embarrassing photo's around the the school. I then sit back down and watch the other's. Once everyone's seated enough I stand up and walk over offering my resume and portfolio as I go sit back down thanking them for their time. Everyone looked at the other and nods.  Everyone was in suprise over your professionalism. Once done you settle into your seat as they go over who would and wouldn't be an intern. The young man looked smug like he won something. My father just stays looking forward as the other's just stare at eachother. They look dejected and turn away.

    The teacher starts with my father. He called some decent and some I glared at him over. He shrugs and turns away. I sigh as the man in the white suit stands up and says," Topaz, Clarissa, Maria, Yuki and, Saymuri."

    The other's and I go get the paperwork offered to us. The girls look dejected until I open my papers and my mouth drops open. On it says Personal assistant. I look at him and sigh. No wonder the other's gave in. If he offered me such a high spot they had to back down.

    But the other girls couldn't help the glares thrown your way. You were one of the top brass in college and you had brass balls against anyone. You'd call people out on bullying or even for sticking up for others. So it was no suprise that people would hear of you. But you don't know anything about the young man.

   Just then your allowed out for lunch and to think over the proposals given to us. I sigh and open my bento. I pray and settle into eating as all the other's leave. My father sits up front with the young man. My father calls me over and hands me something sweet as well as telling me to ofder one to Kaiba boy as he calls him. Now that I think of it I sort of remeber a Seto Kaiba but I was kept away during duelist kingdom and all that. But I was under strict protection by Croquet so I wouldn't see his madness during the time. So I do as he says. I walk over and tap him. He stares at me as I open the container of sweets. He looks at me then at father and pushes it back to me. Father shakes his head as I pick one and eat it. I hum as I say," Aren't these the one's I baked?"

   Father nods and I smile handing the container back as I go finish my lunch. Once done we all settle into going over our roles and work. I wasn't impressed with Kaiba at all. Seemed like a nasty person. I almost said something until I hear a giggle and get up bringing the boy in. His raven hair and  silvery blue eyes glint at me as I open a container of sweets and ask who he was here for. He points at Mr. Kaiba as I take him down front as I grab another chair settling it next to Mr. Kaiba who was suprised until I lift his brother in the seat and hand him the container of sweets before going to sit down again. He watches me as Mokuba smiles at me happy. I smile until it's my turn. I walk down and sit in front of Mr. Kaiba and he starts into the conversation if I'd gone over the paperwork and how I felt about it?

   I look up and say," You really must have some brass balls to assume everyone knows who you are? Now let's start again, shall we? My name is Topaz. Now let's get started. One I have gone over your conduct and I am pleased by what I see on the paperwork but not in the person. I don't wish to feel confined or put under any sexism or abuse from you. As long as you can conjure to such then I am happy to be you intern and personal assistant for the time being Mr. Kaiba."
 
    Kaiba leans on his hands and says," Your a smart girl, Topaz. I would have no reason to in your case as well I'm sure your aware that you are probably the only one on par or even higher than the level that I myself is on. Your other classmates only saw me for their own gain as a romantic canidate. Yet you have not once come at me in such away."

    I looked him in the eye and say," I have no need for it Mr. Kaiba if I wish to be in a relationship all I must do is snap my fingers and my father...," I look at father,"Can compile a list of men worth my time as such or even a husband. So I'm sorry to say Mr. Kaiba you just are not worth my time. Even if you were I wouldn't date my boss. Least not at this moment."

    A smile cuts across his lips and says," Then I guess I'll have to play your game Miss Topaz and let's see what happens. I expect you Momday in my office."

   I nod and stand up walking away from him and his brother with my belongings as I sashay on my way out. I could feel his eyes on my body as I walked out only to be cut off when I shut the door behind me. I lean against it and fan my beet red face as I can't believe I challenged THE Seto Kaiba to win and vie for my attention as well as my affection. I can only hope this goes the way I plan.
