Dear Diary,

I know it's pretty strange to have a diary at eighteen. I'm keeping this secret to everyone. I have just finished reading William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". I think it's a pretty story. Last month, I ended reading Jane "Pride and Prejudice", one of the best of all time. Oh how I hope to find my own Mr. Darcy and our love would be as precious as Romeo and Juliet's.

Diary, I really need to find a name for you. It's too plain calling you diary. How about... RoLiet (Romeo and Juliet)? No, no, no! Hmmm.... Austen? Way too formal. Ah! I know! Bennet from Elizabeth Bennet! Perfect! So Bennet, my parents are going to Hawaii for the next two weeks. School is going to start in a month time and I don't know what to do right now. I'm gonna be a college freshman soon and I'm pretty excited too.

Today, Zoe, my best friend, and I were watching the movie of Pride and Prejudice. We first watched Colin Firth's version then the 2005 one. In my perspective, I like Colin Firth's version. It's a closer one compared to the 2005 one. But, I enjoyed both movies because I can still feel and see the same Mr. Darcy.

After watching, Zoe and I started stating our opinions about the movie. Zoe is a complete fangirl too. We love to read books of romance. I've also read a few popular book series like The Hunger Games, Divergent, Twilight, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and The Heroes of Olympus. But the only reason why I read these books? Because of love. In stories, there is always love and I'm looking forward to that four letter word in my life right now. I want to fall in love with someone who loves me too. I don't want to be like Peeta in the first few parts of the Hunger Games series. I want it like Tris and Tobias.

During dinner, Reese, my brother, told me that he was greatly admired by girls in class. He's fifteen and what can you expect from a fifteen year old in this generation? Exactly what you're thinking, Bennet. I rolled my eyes as he continuously boast his fine face. My parents just laugh. They enjoy Reese talking since I'm the boring one. The serious one in facing love and finding love. I know, Bennet. I'm a total hopeless romantic and I can't wait for the right one for me.

After dinner, I drove mom and dad to the airport. We live in San Francisco, Cali. It isn't much fun here since a lot of people in my town are party people. I just don't seem to fit in except for the normal people in my village. Our neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Wales are very kind. Every summer, they give everyone in the village a pitcher of cold, homemade lemonade. I left Reese at home, who's doing his homework. I hope he did coz I just can't trust him sometimes. We arrived at the airport.

"Be good, Alison." Mom kissed my forehead.

"Bye, baby girl." Dad hugs me.

"Bye! Take care and enjoy!" I waved at them as they get inside the airport.

When I arrived home, I heard loud sounds. I knew who it was. I went up the stairs and barged in Reese's room. He was playing COD. I should've knew.

"Do you know how to knock?" He hissed.

"Do you know I'm older?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Sheesh. What do you want?"He says coldly.

"You left your stereo downstairs and it's booming music. Turn it down. And shouldn't you be doing your homework not playing this stupid video game?" I turned off the tv.

"Hey! Why'd you turn it off? I was gonna do my homework already! Once I complete finishing that level and by the way, this is not a stupid game!" He whines.

"Go down, bring your stereo and do your homework." I commanded him. He rolls his eyes and slowly stands up.

"Quickly!" I said, annoyed. He ran off downstairs.

I went to my room and changed my clothes. I brushed my hair slowly and carefully. Tomorrow, Zoe and I are heading to the Shakespeare Carnival. I heard that a couple first met there and got married. Oh how I hope so for myself too! Well, goodnight Bennet. Write you again next time!

Love, Alice
