Alice licked the flap of her envelope with delicate care, then placed it in her dresser drawer for another day.

As she walked outside of her room at her usual early morning time, she noticed it wasnt a normal day. The sky was dark, and stormy- it seemed the weather reflected the day's fate. She was prepared, dressed, and on the brink of neutral to go to work again on Saturday, but something in her heart told her not to.

Alice always followed her heart, but she didn't today. Today seem like a heart day.

Around seven oclock at night, near the end of her shift, she noticed how the store had its fair lack of customers, but every once in a whie, a big group of teens would come in.

After she began to start doodling circles on receipt paper, she noticed a familiar face walk in the door.

the voice called desperately: "Mouschi!"

She ran around the counter and gave him a big hug. One that was so tight she almost suffocated her first real friend.

"Finn!" Alice squeeled.

"I flew in after a while from L.A." Finn began. He sounded out of breath, and exhausted. His collared shirt was wrinkled and not as neat and pressed as it probably was that morning. He paused for a moment, then said: "I was planning on coming out and visiting you this weekend anyway."

"Well, while you're here, you wanna pick up some donuts? or a root beer?" Alice had mischievious look. "I made extras..."

Finn smiled. "Why not?"

He began to walk away towards the Hostess rack of the store with relief in his mind. Being around Alice was better than any glazed donuts she could buy him.

"Finn?" Alice asked quietly, running back behind the counter.

Finn turned to her. "Yeah?"

"You wanna know something?"

"What?"

Alice grinned to herself, and Finn couldn't help but join her.

"I love you too, Finnyboy."

And then, they shared a root beer.
