I sat in silence for the next hour and a half as Liam told me what happened when Lou made it to the hospital. Apparently, he was directly hit with the car and it was a miracle he didn’t…..die. I can’t even say that without shaking. If Louis died, I would not be able to live. He is my best mate and I love him so much. He is the reason that I get up in the morning, just to see his beautiful side swept, messy hair, his crystal blue eyes, and when he wears his glasses, it makes me melt. Harry Edward Styles, stop it. Louis doesn’t love you in that way….he never will. So, I sat there listening to the horrid things that happened to Louis. He was dragged away on a stretcher and brought to the hospital. The doctors recently found out he was in a coma and they still do not know when he will wake up.

“Liam, when can I see him?” I asked Liam quietly. Liam gazed into my eyes with a sad look. He knows I can’t live without Louis.

“Well the doctor said you were fine so I suppose you can now. Let me just get a nurse to clear it up.” Liam states as he walks out of the room for the nurse.

In 10 minutes Liam returns with the good news that I am allowed to see Lou. I walk out my room and into Lou’s and I stop dead in my tracks in the door frame. Normally people wouldn’t get so torn up about seeing a body that looks asleep on a bed. But that’s not me. My best mate and love is lying so completely still that he looks……dead. I’ve never ever seen him this still, even in his sleep he turns about. Louis is supposed to be loud and adorably immature, not dead silent. I walk quickly over to his side and grab a chair to sit down. I plan on not moving from his side until he wakes up. I mean how could I just leave him here? It was my fault this accident happened. If I hadn’t distracted him from the road he could’ve seen the car and stopped. This is entirely my fault.

“Oh, Louis. I miss you. I know you’ll be up soon. I’ll be counting the days until I can see your beautiful eyes.” I say while laying a small kiss on his forehead. He doesn’t stir whatsoever.

Louis’ P.O.V.

In my dream, Harry and I were at the beach. The ocean was calm and crystal blue, the sand was soft and warm on my feet. I turned to Harry.

“Race you to the water!” I challenged, jumping up from my beach towel. Harry grinned at me.

“You’re going down, Tommo.” And we both took off. I was in the lead, but out of the corner of my eye, I could see Harry was gaining on me. I ran as fast as I could, until the water was right in front of me. I splashed in, Harry a few seconds behind me.

“I beat you!” I cheered in victory. He smiled down at me.

“You did,” he agreed. And then he was moving closer. His eyes were closing. He was going to kiss me. And I was going to kiss back. But then, I looked behind his shoulder.

Treading in the water was my girlfriend, Kayleigh. She looked at me with sad blue eyes. “Lou,” she whimpered, “I thought you loved me.”

I looked back at her with pain in my eyes. “Kay, I do-“ But at that moment, all the boys appeared next to Kayleigh.

“Louis, what’s this going to mean for the band?” Zayn asked me.

“How are the fans going to feel about two gay members?” Liam challenged.

“I don’t want people to stop liking us,” Niall said sadly. I was about to respond when a mother and daughter appeared next to them.

“Mommy!” the little girl said. “I want to get One Direction’s Album!”

“No, sweetie,” the mother said sternly. “Those boys have relationships we don’t approve of. I can’t allow you to listen to them.” I opened my mouth to protest when my sisters appeared.

“Lou? Why are you dating a boy?” asked Daisy.

“I thought only boys and girls were supposed to date,” Phoebe added. I shook my head violently. I was so confused. This was getting overwhelming.

All of the sudden, everyone besides Harry and I disappeared. And then, we weren’t on the beach anymore. Instead, we were in what looked like a black room. But I could see Harry perfectly.

“Oh, Louis,” he says, “I miss you.” I looked at him, confused. Why did he miss me? I was right here. “I know you’ll be up soon. I’ll be counting the days until I can see your beautiful eyes.”

“But, Haz, I’m right here,” I reassured him. Then, he did something that broke my heart. He started crying.

“Harry, why are you crying?” I asked, trying to hug and comfort him. He didn’t seem to take any notice of me.

“Lou, please wake up.”

“Aren’t I awake?”

“Louis, please. I love you.” Harry begged.

I looked at him, confused.

“I love you so much Boobear. Please wake up, for me?” Harry asked sadly.

“But I’m awake!” I answered, getting frustrated now. Why wasn’t he acknowledging me?

“I’m so sorry, Boo. This was all my fault.”

“What’s all your fault?” I asked, confused again.

“I love you,” Harry whispered, “I’m so sorry.”
