Your POV
"Rick, let's go! You're all over the place, you've gotta come home." I muttered, Rick threw his arm around my shoulder in an attempt to stabilize himself, Morty grabbed his other arm and helped lead him to the ship. There was no way I was letting Rick drive this drunk, he'd driven while drinking before but this was too much for him, I sat in the driver's seat after lots of struggle with Rick.
"I can *Burp* Drive, M-Morty stop be-eing a lil' shit M-Morty."
"C'mon R-Rick, y-you shouldn't be driving."
"Rick, how many fingers am I holding up?"
"Seven."
"Wrong, I'm holding up 3, I'm driving."
"No you're not!"
"Morty, grab him!"
"Let me go! For fuck's sake!"
"Thanks Morty, I don't know what I'd do without you."
"Thanks (Y/N), Rick, c'mon get in the back."
"M-Morty."
Thankfully a couple months back, Rick taught me how to drive the ship around and we weren't too far from Earth. From the back I could hear Rick trying to climb up front while also trying not to fall asleep. I pulled into the driveway and hopped out of the ship to help Morty with Rick, he was still dozing off and now he could barely stand. It really was a good thing I drove this time otherwise, Morty and I might have been done for, along with Rick. We both grabbed one of his arms and wrapped them around our shoulders, it was a little awkward since Morty was shorter than me and Rick but it was easier on me to have help with Rick. Morty led me to Rick's room which I'd never seen, it was somewhat bigger than a closet but not by that much, it was covered wall to wall with blueprints and notes and a small desk under a cork-board.
"Thanks Morty, I can take care of him from here." I smiled, ruffling his hair and nudging him out, I knew I could handle Rick on my own, especially with him this close to clocking out, I guess all the late nights of him staying up have finally taken their toll.
*Flashback*
I walked into the garage, trying to be as quiet as possible, but like usual I guess I wasn't quiet enough.
"I hear you, y-you suck at sneaking up on people." Rick muttered, still putting his focus into his project, "Hey, fuck you! I can scare Summer and Morty!" I retorted, embarrassment hinting at my voice. He placed his invention down and turned around to face me, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.
"They're kids, that doesn't count." His voice lightened from his usual tone to something a little more playful, something seemed off, not that he seemed a little happier but he seemed... Tired? His body wavered side to side subtly, I doubt that a lot of people would be able to notice, the small things about the way he acted was purely based off the fact that I really liked him.
"Are you alright? You look tired." I asked, gently putting my hand on his shoulder and feeling his body swaying, he nodded and grabbed his flask from his pocket, throwing his head back.
"I'm fine, I don't get tired." He laughed, trying to hide a yawn, I patted his head jokingly. I knew he was lying, it was something he did a lot to try and get people to not worry about him, being able to tell when he was lying was either extremely easy or extremely difficult but this time, it was easier than easy.
"How long has it been since you last slept?" he shrugged, yawning again, "Like... 2 days..."
I sighed, having no clue why he wasn't sleeping but didn't bother asking him, knowing he'd be too stubborn to answer me, at least honestly. For someone who seemed to be tired, he definitely looked to be wide awake, skilled liar.
*Back to the present*
He leaned against me, before I could grab him and sit him down on his bed he fell asleep and pushed me against the floor, "Shit!" I whisper-shouted, trying as gently as possible to move him off me. Rick was definitely heavier than he looked, a lanky twig like him was unexpected to be heavier than I can push.
"(Y/N)~ W-What hap-pened?" He grunted, trying to lift his body up, "You're sleep-deprived Rick, you're clearly tired and now you're drunk, please go to bed." I begged, grabbing his arms and pulling him up with me. Before he could say anything, I threw him onto his bed and sat next to him, he leaned his head onto my shoulder and I felt drool run against me, I tried my best to not notice, he flopped onto his bed and laid down properly. I stood up and grabbed the desk chair, sliding it over next to his bed and sat back down, he grabbed the edge of his blanket and curled up, burying his head into the sheets, he looked like he could be a peaceful human being, I watched him as he quickly fell asleep.
"Goodnight Rick." I smiled, lightly grabbing his hand, which was hanging off of his bed, tracing my fingers over it, his hand was cold but comforting in a way. His mouth curved into a small smile as I traced a heart over his hand, for a second I thought he was awake but I don't think that would be physically possible at this point. I leaned down slowly and kissed his forehead, placing his hand back over the edge of his bed and stood up, quietly creeping out of his room. The door creaked as I shut it, Morty immediately ran over to me.
"I-I heard a thud! What h-happened?" he asked, worry in his voice, I chuckled and patted his head, "Rick fell asleep and accidentally fell on me, which knocked us both onto the floor. Nothin' to fear little buddy." I explained, walking over to the couch.
"H-Hey, (Y/N)... I have a question..."
"What's up Morty?"
"Do y-you like Rick?"
