Chapter 16

7 months later

I should be dropping this baby any minute, and I'm ready! I've finished high school and I'm in college for nursing. I have my liscense as a CNA and now I'm in secondary school for LPN. My school had a good nursing program. My teacher Mrs. Wilder was the real one lol. She was a little dissappointed to see me pregnant but she got over it.  She was a tough teacher, but I'm glad she was because it really helped.  I was currently walking into class and saw the other students shuffling in. 

"J you look ready to pop", my friend rebecca said.

I've gained a few friends here and I love it I honestly don't want to go back to Miami. Maybe just visited but not stay. I'm terrified of going back, seeing everyone's face. I still can't believe what my parents did. I'm over it now, because that was just wrong. I really miss my brothers and Mary. I wonder how are they doing. Today we were learning how to administer drugs. We started off with scenarios with people with diabetes and how ,uch insulin that a person with a low blood pressure of 40 would need.

Class was over and I was relieved. My feet were swollen and my back hurt. I drove home, waiting for Christie so she could rub my feet. Yeah i have a car I've saved up from working and go half on the apartment I share with Christie. I currently work at Publix but I'm on maternity leave for two months. I heard the keys jingling at the door as I sat on the couch eating some Popeyes from last night.

"Chris!", I yelled before she even entered.

"No Jo I'm tired I don't want to", she said before I asked.

"Please my feet really hurts", I pouted.

"Hey aunt jayjay", Christie's daugther entered the living room.

"Hey pumpkin I ddn't even see you"

"Yeah mommy come get me fom dawddy", she said with excitement.

"Wanna do a favor sweetie since mommy be mean to me?"

"Yes"

"Welcome auntie"

This girl was a life saver, and I felt so much better. I took a shower and went to go to sleep. About three in the morning, I felt a huge urge to pee. I got up heading to the bathroom and just wet myself before reaching the bathroom, I stood there in shock until i felt a sharp pain in my adomen.

"Fuck!", I groaned.

"Chris, I think my water broke!", I didn't get a reply.

"Chris wake the fuck up! My water broke!", I yelled walking into her room.

She shot so fast she fell out of the bed. I was dying laughing, she mugged the fuck out of me. She went to walk up Hanaraya and I grabbed the diaper bag heading to the car.

"Chris hurry the tf up!," I yelled as I felt another contraction

"We haven't even been driving for 15 minutes yet Jo"

I just sat back breathing in and out trying to calm myself because Chris was going to get it. It wasn't funny anymore, I was in pain. I know I haven't told yall the sex of the baby, I'll let it be a surprise. Chris then turned on the radio. " Am I wrong" by nico and vinz started playing. This song always made me feel like dancing, so I started dancing. After the song finished I felt another contraction. I started grabbing the head rest. In a blink of a eye we reached the hospital. Chris ran to get a nurse, while I stayed with Hanaraya. The nurse came out with a wheelchair and rolled me away. They set me up and the doctor came to check if I was dilated. I was only three centimeters. After a while Chris came in the room.

" I called my mom, she's on her way," Chris said.

I just nodded, because I couldn't respond I was in so much pain. I wasn't having another child after this.

16 hours passed already and I was still in labor. The contractions were coming harder and faster.

" Ahhh!," this last one wasn't any joke.

"Chris! Chris!," she didn't respond.

I took the remote off the bedside table and threw it at her.

" What the f--," her eyes were bloodshot red.

" Go get the nurse Chris," I said through gritted teeth.

She ran out the room to get my doctor. After a short while, Dr. Charles came in.

" Let's see if your ready now," she said.

She spread my legs and did the same as before.

" Well you're ready Mrs. Lopez," I was so happy to hear that.

These last few months have been alright. I haven't been with a girl. Haha! I lied I've been fucking and ducking. Its better that way. My main dame right now is Cheaslea, she's actually pregnant right now. At first I told her ass to abort it, but when I thought about it that's my seed. I had to do summer school to catch because I missed all those days when I was in a coma. I'm not a dumb nigga I have things going for myself. Well now I am a EKG certified tech, I don't know which direction I want to go in yet. I do want to become a nurse, and NURSING isn't only for women. Enough about school, I was now headed to Cheaslea house since she called earlier saying she was hungry. To you all in on Zendayya the baby wasn't mine, turns out it was her step fathers. Her mom was devasted but they don't have to worry about that nigga anymore, he was taken care of.

At first I was hestiant about the pregnancy thing Cheas beause of what happened with Zendayya. Quan and I are cool, back to being friends. I honestly think because the baby wasn't mine. Least to say I'm happy were friends again. 

I droved to Cheas's house to see her watching T.v. rubbing her belly. 

"Hey baby", I gave her that look.

"Here's your food," I handed her the food 

"Thanks,"She mumbled a little sad.

I chilled with her for a while and left to one of other girl's house. I was hungry and momma ain't cook and neither did Cheas. Speaking about momma her and Ole dude still together, he actually a nice man. My sister is now six years old, in first grade. She's growing up so fast, Ima have to shoot this niggas once she gets older.

Mary

Rick and I are still strong and good right now. Nakayla absouletly loves him. She knows who her father is and spends weekends with him. Rick didn't even attempt to run when I told him I had a daughter. Ricky and Nakayla's dad have gotten into altercations before, and still to this day are beefing. I currently attend Miami dade, but after will be transferring to FAU. Ricky doesn't know that yet and I plan on telling him sooner or later
