"Charlie! "
I heared my best friend yell from behind a bigger group of people. She waved her hands frantically signalling a hello. She made her way to me pushing several people in the process.
I laughed to myself as I saw a stranger directing curse words at my best friend, and her, being the cocky, bitchy goofball she is, firing them back at them almost immediately. I laughed even harder when I saw how annoyed she grew with the unknown stranger. She got so annoyed with him that she rolled her eyes and pushed the stranger a bit harder making him stumble on the spot.
I saw a sigh leave from behind her lips as she then continuously drew closer to me and I even saw some people joining in. I eyed her from quite a long distance but did not move from the spot i stood upon. I just tried to identify every single face following behing her figure.
After realizing that all of the faces were more familiar than I anticipated, I smiled and exclaimed.
"Guys? What are you doing here? "
I hugged them all and just then I saw one particular face that I did not see for several years.
"Dodo? Is that YOU? God, its been so long since I've last seen you."
I softly smiled after my sentence, awaiting a response from Dodo.
"Yeah. It's been like 6 years,hasn't it? "
He giggled lightly smiling afterwards. We chatted for some more, unintentionally moving away from the loud crowd and pounding music.
Our conversation was full of laughs and jokes until one of my friends, completly out of context, asked the most random question."So, are we gonna go to the shops first or are we gonna go to the fest first? "
We stared at him dumbfounded for couple of seconds and right after that erupted in laughter.
"Martin, what the actual fuck was that?"
Patricia asked, tears framing her vision as she continued to laugh at the question. Martin just glared at her and that just added to the laughter as all of us laughed even more hysterically than before.
The laughter evoked a memory in my mind as I confidentially answered Martin's question.
"Do you not remeber what happened last year?"
Everyone seem to calm down a bit and uncomprehendedly stared at me for a few seconds, and then shortly after that fell into hysteria again. Martin seemed to get offended by my remarks about last year's events and quickly added.
"You don't have to make fun of someone with lower alcohol tolerance than you, Charlie. You know.. even though the honey-alcohol-thingie may not be the strongest alcohol, it was my first time drinking any kind of alcohol."
He defended himself, crossing his arms harshly. I heared one of my laughing friends suck in a breath, tears leaving his eyes.
"The honey-WHAT?"
He mocked Martin's response immediatly hoisting a throaty laugh from his lungs. I myself had to do everything to not get affected by his joke.
